After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

You can either rent a baggage cart($5) or have so called skycap to help you with the bags(they charge $1-$2 per bag).

Hey, my family will arrive at JFK tomorrow at approximately 3pm from Munich. The flight number is LH 410. Where can I pick them up?

Lufthansa arrives at Terminal 1 . Go to the first floor of the building and you will see the arrivals hall where you can meet them.

if i arrive from buffalo at 11am and my bext flight is at 4pm to India, will i be allowed to come out of the airport, meet some friends and go back? my flight is tomorrow so I do hope to hear as soon as possible..thanlkss

Yes, you will be allowed.

We arrived at the JFK by Air India on 121710 at about 6:45 AM. There were fifteen wheel chair passengers in our flight.
Only TEN wheel chairs were available.
Only four wheel chair pushers were there.
Even each of them carried TWO chairs, my wife was left on a chair near the baggage claim. The wheel chair person disappeared. After searching for him we had to leave to catch our Delta flight. With her disability and no one to guide us we had missed our flight. There should be CLEAR directions how to catch Delta. One person had sent us downstairs and we found it was parking area- no way to go to Delta. Then we took elevator to third floor, crossed over went down stairs etc.
The name of the wheel chairpusher was John, an African American. He was very very RUDE. He did not care for the passengers, he was more playing the role of a Supervisor to others. He even asked me if I would like to push her chair in case I was in a rush.

I'm arriving on Turkish Air Flt TK001 at 245P in terminal 1. Will I have enough time to make Delta Flt 133 to sfo in terminal 2 at 515P 2-1/2 hours later? Where do I go?
Thanks

1. Yes, you have plenty of time.
2. Exit Terminal 1 and walk to your right - Terminal 2(Delta) is 5 mins away.

I am picking a passenger up from baggage claim for a Jet Blue flight. Is curb side pick up available at JFK outside of baggage claim?

Thank you.

Yes, but you must be quick about it. There's a cell phone parking area where you can wait until your passenger calls and then you can drive to the arrivals level of the terminal for pick up.

Hello, I am travelling through JFK. I am arriving from London Heathrow on Saturday 18th at 7.45pm and leaving for Peru at 10.45pm. Would I need to pick my luggage and re check it again or does the airlines will transfer it directly?
Also, if I have to pick it and recheck it again, where would I need to do that?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Inquire at check-in at Heathrow if your bags will be tagged to final destination. If yes, you will still need to claim your bags to clear customs and when you exit customs take your bags to the connecting flights counter. If no, you will need to take your bags for check-in for your next flight to Peru.

Hi,
I am heading to Boston from South Korea with transferring at JFK. I am using Korean air which will land 10:40AM. To make a connecting flight to Boston, how many hours will be needed in minimum (from Terminal 1 to 3). If I use Delta which shares service, will it be faster? There is one flight at 12:10PM from Delta otherwise I have to use other company.
suggestion?
