Anonymous-e (not verified)

Hi, I wanted to know how do you get to terminals form the long terminal parking? I know there is a train. Is there a fee? what are the times of operation and how long does it take from the long term parking to American terminal?

thanks

ahab345 (not verified)

there is no fee and it takes about 20 minutes tops to get to the terminals from the lot

you will never find anything cheaper in the NY area and never for $100. you are better off leaving your car at home.

just called (not verified)

so yea you just go down there, no need to reserve or anything.
cheers to a good flight everyone! =)

Done (not verified)

Daily parking rate on this site is not correct.
It is $3 for each additional half hour, not each hour.

Leaving (not verified)

Does anyone know how much it would be to leave a car for a week in the long term parking lot?
Thanks

ahab345 (not verified)

Does JFK have a waiting area where arriving passengers can use their cell phones to notify their pick-up people waiting in their cars to come by and pick them up?

Airports in FL have this.

JT (not verified)

Yes, there is a cellphone waiting lot. Look for the signs on the highway as you first enter the airport property.

Jim (not verified)

Yes. Just follow the (few, hidden) signs for the Cell Phone Parking Lot.

cwaf (not verified)

http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/airports/html/ken_cell.html according to the website, yes, they have a cell phone lot

Anonymous Anonymous (not verified)

Is the long term lot secure? Is there a way to get from newark airport to JFK?

Anonymous

From newark airport you can take the NJ transit train into Penn station, then the A or E train ( subway ) to JFK. it's real easy.

maen (not verified)

Hey, do I have to reserve tickets for long term parking prior to my arrival ? or I can do that once I arrive ?

Thanks

rtraveler (not verified)

No. You just pull in and take a ticket and pay upon return. You can pay at the terminal and / or on your way out. If you choose to pay at the terminal you have 30 minutes to get to your car and out the gate.

How do I make a reservation for Long term parking at JFK?

mni (not verified)

I am new in NYC and was looking for a month of parking in brooklyn/jfk area. Any help is much appriciated.

Thx.

Anony_mous (not verified)

I'm confused, if we park in the JFK long-term parking lots, do we also have to pay to get on the AirTrain to get to the terminal? If so, is that another $5 per person each way?

Anony-mous (not verified)

Yes.

Anonymous111 (not verified)

no, the air tran is free.

mom23marines (not verified)

The Airtrain from Long Term Parking (Lefferts Blvd) to all terminals is free. The Airtrain only costs $5 if you are taking it to either Howard Beach or Jamaica Station.

tjdiehl (not verified)

It is not clear to me where to park since the map shows "parking lot closed" across from the terminal???? Help... thank you.

Careless guy (not verified)

hey,
I lost the ticket which was given to me when I entered the parking lot(long-term). What is the penalty and process?

Also, can I show my tickets to prove my dates?

ingrid (not verified)

citygalnyc (not verified)

not very good at doing math huh?

bob (not verified)

Is there a cell phone waiting area at jfk? if not where can someone wait for arriving flights?

UpstateRob (not verified)

Yes, look at this; you can also meet people getting off the AIRTRAIN at Federal Circle here: http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/airports/html/ken_cell.html

Wendy (not verified)

How do you get from long term parking to the airport & how much does it cost?

Rick (not verified)

I parked at SMARTPARK last weekend. It was cheaper then long term parking, and if you travel with bags is easier then lugging them onto the train as a shuttle brings you to the terminal.

Nancy (not verified)

I would look into one of the parking services like Avistar. They are well-priced, safe, they valet you to the airport & then back to your car. We have had great success using them.

Wendy (not verified)

I am traveling Jet Blue 2/21-2/26, should I park in long term or short term parking. How will I get from the parking lot to the airport?

Anonymous1 (not verified)

Wendy, there is an Airtrain that connects you from the parking to the terminal. I use it all the time, it's great. Do NOT park in short-term, that is ridiculously expensive. Park in long term, and take the Airtrain, you will see there are tons of people doing the same. It's a great service.

Christine (not verified)

Is there some type of shuttle between long-term parking and the airport?

Upstate Rob (not verified)

Unless you stay at a PRIVATE park facility, the LongTerm run by the airport is all on the Airtrain which is totally free. The only time there is a charge is if you get off at the END Of the LINE which connects directly to the NYC Subway system (and another $2 to get on the subway, which is separate because you might be getting on the LIRR).

Rudette (not verified)

I would park at Smart Park. You have a ride via shuttle to the airport and back and they valet your car. Especially if you are travelling with bags it's so much better then taking the train from LT parking plus it's cheaper.

Joe C (not verified)

I'll second that for Smart Park, i just made my reservation. Only $12/day and NO surcharges. Seems like a friendly and reliable service also. Thanks for the suggestion

Michael R. (not verified)

I use a similar place called Avistar Parking. They're located 120-34 So. Conduit Avenue. You drive their, they valet park your car and someone puts your bags on a shuttle bus, then helps you off with your bags when you get to your terminal. When you get back, you call them on your cell phone and they come pick you up and take you back to the lot, where your car has been brought right near the exit and is waiting for you.

You can print a coupon from their web site and it's $17.50 per day (plus tax and a $3.00 per stay "fuel surcharge").

I used to use the long term parking on Lefferts Blvd, which is a little cheaper, but the hassle of driving around looking for a spot, the having to schlep your bags from the car to the AirTrain then to your terminal is annoying. To me the valet service is well worth a few extra dollars.

Laurita (not verified)

Is there a phone number for the long term parking? I nedd some information!!!

laurany

Can anyone tell me if the $15/day parking includes tax or is tax additional? If so, what is the rate?

Sally (not verified)

718 241 4168 is the parking lot operator at JFK airport and they say that tax is included!

I'm trying to find the link for JFK parking, but am notsuccessful. Where is short term parking and how do I get there. Is 4 nights 5 days considered short term parking? How do I find the closest parking area for Delta airlines - domestic?
Is there a phone number I can call?

gatoursad

I have tried to get a link for information on airport parking at JFK and have not been duccessful. Does a four day period come under the heading of long term or short term. Where is the parking area at JFK airport and how to you get the closest area to Delta airlines domestic? Is there a phone number I can call to speak to someone.

Upstate Rob (not verified)

Short term is like an hour or two. Long term ($15 per day) is what you want.

MARILYN (not verified)

My husband needs to take his electric chair on the plane and we must take his hanidicap van to the airport and park it for 2 weeks while we are away What are my options?

Spin (not verified)

Marilyn,

I believe handicapped individuals are entitled to use short-term lots at discounted rates. See the Port Authority website.

Cathy (not verified)

Need to know where to find handicap parking for a couple of (1-2) hours for a departure from us air on a friday, leaving JFK at 4pm Hope to arrive at JFK by 2pm. Where do I go ?
