Locate ground transportation self-service phones and call the service Dave's Best Limo - they are door-to-door service to Philadelphia. If I am not mistaken their last shuttle departs around 10pm.

Go to the second floor of T8 and follow the signs to the Airtrain; take it on track 1 - the next stop is Federal Circle; get off there , go to the first floor and you will see Hertz faciliity.

I am planning to fly from JFK airport terminal No. 3 and need return the car to Hertz. Is Hertz exist in terminal No.3?
Hertz at JFK is located at Federal Circle. Once you get at JFK just follow the signs "Rental Car Returns"
After you return the car you can take Airtrain(it is free) from Federal Circle to Terminal 3(10min ride).

This isn't until October, but....my flight (American Airlines)lands at 2:00 at JFK. Need to get to Cold Spring, NY by 5:30. First time in New York. Need to know quickest way to get to Cold Spring.
Fastest is probably by taxi but VERY expensive. There's the NYAS express bus ($15) from your terminal to Grand Central Station and then take the MTA Metro North-Hudson Line train which stops at Cold Spring. Trains run about every hour and it takes 1.25 hours. If arriving on a weekday you would have to get to Grand Central in time to catch the 4:10pm train which arrives at 5:21pm ($21 peak fare). If a weekend there's a 3:52pm departure arriving at 5:10pm ($17 off-peak fare). If you're arriving on a domestic flight you may be able to make it in time, if arriving international you'd be cutting it very close as you have to clear customs. Inquire at the Ground Transportation counter when you arrive about possible shuttle service or other alternatives.
How much does it cost or is it free to take the airtrain from terminal 1 (T1) to Federal Circle, or viceversa?
which car rentals company has a pick-up drop-off lot in the airport terminal, without having to take a shuttle bus to the car rental parking lot elsewhere?
None of them.
The practice at JFK is :
take Airtrain to Federal Circle, then pick up you car there from rental car facility
or
drop of your car at rental car facility, take Airtrain from Federal Circle to your terminal.

Economy Car Rentals. Could you kindly tell me where their

You will need to find out from Economy which US car rental company (Hertz, Avis, etc.) handles their US reservations. Never heard of this company at or near JFK. Car rental locations are at Federal Circle, take Airtrain from terminals to Federal Circle. Take the Van Wyck Expressway (I-678) northbound from the airport to the L.I. Expressway (I-495) and go eastbound.
I have reserved online one car at DiscountJfkCarRentalRealers.com and after one week asking for a confirmation or cancellation I have been unable to get any answer.
The problem is that in the reservation form you fill online you must give your credit card data, and they say they will charge 75USD fee if not cancelled before 72 hours of the pickup day.
Anybody can get those Discout Dealers to answer?
Could they mend their Web page to get printed copy of the reservation after doing so?
BEWARE OF THOSE DEALERS!
We will be turning in a Hertz rental at JFK. Are there luggage carts to use from the rental return area to terminal 4? Can you use carts on the air train?
There are luggage carts in Hertz that are permitted on Airtrain.

i want to rent a car from blackwood NJ and return it to the airport in JFK for my intl travel, is this possible? what car rental companies allow this?
I will be travelling with 5 big suitcases and 2 hand luggage with my wife and infant child.I want to drop off Hertz rent a car and move to Terminal 4.could you tell me how far is Hertz office to Terminal 4.Do I need to Air trans or Hertz provides its own shuttle serice.
Best is to drop off your wife, child and bags at T4, follow signs for rental car return, return car at Hertz, take Airtrain from there to T4.
I am returning a Budget car to JFK having rented it in Boston. Where do I return it and how much time do I need to allow to get to terminal 4? How do I reach T4?

Follow the signs "Rental car returns" once at the airport. After returning the car, take free Airtrain on the third floor to the terminals. It takes 10 min to reach T4.

I was wondering if you can make some suggestion on my situation. We are Australians and flying in from LAX to JFK then stay in NewYork for a couple of days to explore the city. I would like to hire a car big enuf for a family of 5..drive it around and then drive to my brother in Toronto for a few days then return back to NYC.
1. Am I allowed to travel internatate in hire cars
2. Is it gonna be hard driving around
3. Will I need a GPS to navigate NYC and drive to YYZ
3. Is it worth the hassle

Dollar Rent A Car (complaint) – Daylight Robbery
Just to make it clear, we made our car rental reservation through a third party company called Booking Group (known as bookinggroup.com or economybookings.com). When troubles started Dollar blamed everything on the third party company. I'm not buying it…
Dollar robbed us 3 times:
1. According to the voucher we were holding the balance was EUR 127: "€ 127.03 is payable to Dollar on your arrival".
(Approximately $190 at that time)
Dollar charged us $250. After an 11 hours flight it was not easy to argue...what could we do?
Dollar response: "Our records indicate your reservation was booked as $250 in our system for the rental charges, which is what you were charged. Since the Euro amount was quoted to you by the third party company, and they booked the reservation in our system as $250, we must ask you pursue this matter further with the third party."
2. According to the voucher the drop-off location was Manhattan (no fee mentioned):
"Drop-off location: USA New York, Manhattan, Manhattan Downtown"
Dollar charged us with an extra $50, which was a Drop-off fee for returning the car to a different location than the original.
Dollar response: "Since our records indicate this vehicle was reserved with Dollar to return to JFK, we must conclude the third party booked with us incorrectly"
3. Dollar did not explain that the prepaid fuel plan is just an option; we understood that we have to take it.
Dollar response: "It appears you accepted prepaid fuel upon pickup. This was $34.29."
My recommendation: Don't book Dollar Rent-A-Car; Don't do business with Booking Group.

can anyone tell me how to go to Rockland, ME from JFK airport? I have a luggage. is there shuttle bus from the airport to boston south station? if there is, what time and price, please.
Take the NYAS bus ($15) from any terminal to Penn Station. Then take Amtrak train to Boston which terminates at South Station. Both Megabus and Boltbus also go to Boston (around $20, way cheaper than Amtrak) leaving from just outside Penn Station but not sure where they will drop you off in Boston.

After you exit Terminal 3 follow the signs to the Airtrain Station. Once at the platform take ANY train on track 1 to Federal Circle station. It is 10 min free ride. Dollar Rental Car is located on the first floor at Federal Circle Station.

I rent a car with enterprise in NYC and I'm traveling put of jfk thru jet blue can I drop the car off at an enterprise in jfk?
You can drop the car at Enterprise facility and then take their courtesy bus to the terminals.
Sometimes that bus drops off people at Federal Circle station where they can take free Airtrain to the terminals. Speak to the bus driver about that.
