My family is flying with out two dogs from Tanzania relocating back to CO with US passports. We plan to spend the night in NYC before proceding to CO the next evening. I understand that there is a kennel in the airport where I can leave my dogs overnight. What is the procedure for clearing the dogs through customs and getting them to the kennel? Are there also places to store excess baggage overnight at the airport?

my daughter will be arriving on an aer lingus flight from ireland arriving at jfk terminal 4 at 620. I would like to book her on a flight leaving jfk at 830 on american airlines (I believe it is terminal 8. Will 2 hours be enough time for delays, customs, and baggage. And if so, how does she get from one terminal to the other.

I was wondering if you guys had the office number for Egypt Air in terminal 4. Not the general phone number, they weren't much help.

I am flying from Washington (DCA) to Johannesburg (JNB) by way of New York (JFK). I purchased two separate tickets, one on American for my DCA-JFK leg, and a second on South African Airways for my JFK-JNB leg. The DCA-JFK flight arrives 3+ hours before the JFK-JNB flight departs.

When I check-in at DCA, is it possible to check-in for my JFK-JNB flight as well and receive both tickets and have my bags checked all the way through? Or will I need to claim my bags at JFK, and check in again at JFK for my JNB flight?

My main concern is that the tickets are on separate airlines (SAA is a Star Alliance/United partner, not AA partner). Do they have interlining agreements for ticketing and baggage?

I will be arriving at JFK Terminal 8 on 10/14/2012 from BCN @ 12:50pm. Will I have time to clear customs and catch 2:55 connection to MCO? Both flights are on American Airlines. Am I correct in assuming I must clear customs and have luggage checked at JFK rather than

I am taking a domestic flight that departs at 6:10 am in the morning. What time should I arrive? Last year I took a similar flight and arrived at 4:30 am. The Terminal was not open until 5:00 a.m. and I had to stand outside.

First time in JFK. I am arriving from Málaga at 12:45 pm and taking my flight to San Francisco at 14:37 pm. Tickets have been bought separately. - Will I have time enough to take the domestic flight? - And what are the steps I will have to take?. Fe: I don't know if I have to go through customs /inmigration twice, if the distance is long between terminals, etc. Advice about this will be most appreciated.

I have a friend who is coming over from Australia, and landing in terminal 7. I will be landing a few hours earlier from Germany in Terminal 1.

So, I have 2 questions:
1) My friend has a stopover at LAX on her way... so will she have to go through customs in NY? I had assumed no, but terminal 7 appears to only be an international terminal.

2) Is there a good, very clear meeting point in terminal 7 where I can tell her to meet me? We won't have working cell phones, so I need something that is easy and unmissable.

Not an experienced traveler. Arriving by Jet Blue at 5:45pm on Fri ( 5/18) checking a bag. How do I get from bag claim to airport transportation to T 7 for a 8:40pm dept on Iceland Air? Is the air train the best way to get to T 7? About how long will it take to get to T 7? Do I have enough time time to do all this?

I am traveling with my service dog from JFK-Moscow-Larnaca. The Aeroflot airline knows it is a service dog and will NOT confirm my dog on the flight to Moscow. Is this allowed? I am a US citizen with proper documentation for my dog. Thank you!!

My wife is flying AirBerlin out of JFK to Copenhagen then onto St Petersburg, Russia. Her flight leaves JFK at 5:30 PM May 18th.

Her Russin visa is not expected to be ready until Thursday May 17, 2012 late afternoon. (Even though we applied for expedited visa processing and submitted it May 1st).

We live in Albany NY and will need to leave home before noon May 18 to get to JFK on time. There appears to be no time to have approved visa fedex to our home in time.
Can you offer us a solution?

Can we have her visa and passport fedex'd to a destination within JFK to allow her to receive it there (or a destination close by, hotel,...) ?

I'm not an experienced international traveler. Nevertheless, I'm flying Emirates Airlines from South Africa to Chicago with layovers in Dubai and New York. Upon arriving at JFK, I'll catch a connecting flight with United.

My questions are these:

1. Once I touchdown at JFK, as an American citizen, do I have to clear both Immigration and Customs? Please explain why, and;

2. do I recheck my luggage at the Emirates station or at the United station? Please explain why.
