Hi, I have a broken toe and am landing in JFK tomorrow at 10:35am from DCA on AA. I believe we will come into Termimal 8. Then we have a flight to Tokyo on Japan Airlines which I believe leaves from Terminal 1. I am wondering what is best way to get from Terminal 8 to Terminal 1 with a broken toe. Thanks.
Let AA know and inquire about wheelchair assistance . The service will take you all the way to Japan Airlines counter via Airtrain.
Hi there, I'm travelling from London to Rio with a stopover in JFK. We arrive at 7:45pm and our connecting flight is at 10:30pm. Is this enough time to collect luggage, check in , and go through customs?
My flight leaves on September 11th from JFK to Heathrow Airport. I am travelling with British airways. To which terminal should I go to? Could you please estimate how many hours earlier must I arrive at JFK in order not to loose my flight specifically at that day? Thanks a lot.
Arriving at JFK from Kuwait through Kuwait Airways at 15:00 and connecting on Delta to Las Vegas at 18:10.
At what terminal I arrive and how far is the Delta terminal? Is there a back way between them to avoid customs and save time
You will arrive at Terminal 4. Delta to Las Vegas may depart out of T3 or T3. There is no way to avoid customs . Use Airtrain on the third floor of T4, on track 2 and get off next stop, T2/3.

Tommorow i will arrivinig in delta connection flight from rochester in terminal 3 by 5:15 pm. I have to catch another delta flight to Paris at 7:05 PM from terminal 1.
should I leave a secured area to get to Terminal 1 to catch the flight?
what si the best & fast way to reach Terminal 1 from terminal 3 so that i dont miss my flight.
Thanks for any assistance!
You will have to leave the secured area at T3 in order to go and catch your connecting flight at T1. Take Airtrain across the street from T3 on track 2 and get off next stop. It is only 1 min free ride.
At T1 you will be going through security again.

You have to leave the secured area and go to Terminal 1 where you will clear security again.
Use Airtrain from T3 , on track 2 and get off next stop - T1.
I am making a connection from Virgin Atlantic flight VS045 From LHR->JFK->SFO.
Arrives at 16:05 at JFK.
I can either fly back to SFO on Delta #1465 leaving at 19:15 or Virgin America flight #29 at 19:00.
I know that to get to Delta in terminal 3, I'd have to go through JFK customs, walk over to terminal 3, and check in for my regional flight.
My question is for Virgin America. Since Virgin America is in the same terminal as Virgin Atlantic, what is the customs protocol?
Still the same(immigration-pick up bags-customs-re-check the bags) . The only difference is that you don't have to change the terminals - just go up to the third floor and clear security .

Hello,
I will be arriving at JFK on the 2nd of September from Singapore, on Delta Airlines. Which terminal does it arrive at?
I need to make a connection on an American Eagle flight to DCA (Washington National airport). Which terminal do I need to go to and how do it get there in the quickest way possible? I land at 3pm and the American Eagle flight leaves at 6.30pm.
Do I have to go through customs and immigration at JFK?
You will more than likely arrive at terminal 3 and yes you will clear customs on arrival. American Eagle departs from terminal 8. When you exit customs go to the Airtrain and take any train on track 2 (terminal toute) to terminal 8, no more than a five minute ride.
My wife and I will be arriving from Brazil at the same time but on different airlines..Tam and American. Is there only one international arrival terminal or are there several?
i am travelling next february from spain (barcelona) to vail and i arrive to terminal 4 at 12:45 with delta and have the next flight (with AA-not connecting flights) departing from terminal 8 at 16:35. Is there enough time for changing terminals and check in, baggage etc...?? Thank you!!
I'll try an easier question this time. Which terminal does Delta 3004 arrive at on Saturday August 28th and which terminal does Delta 216 depart from on Saturday August 28?
Terminal/gate arrivals can change at a moments notice, currently your arrival is at terminal 2 and your departure is from terminal 3. These terminals are connected so when you arrive check the flight schedule board for your departure gate, no more than a 5 minute walk.
thank you so much for this info. One more question. Is there a place where we can visit with people not flying during the layover of 4 hours? Not sure I'm being clear. Folks from NY want to spend time with daughter flying in from Detroit and going on to Senegal. Folks not flying, but want to go to airport to see daughter and grandchildren during the 4 hour layover. How can we do this?
Unfortunately the folks not flying cannot go to the gate area. Family would need to exit the gate area to meet up with the folks, then family would have to go through security to return to the gate area. When you arrive have your folks call family to tell them where they are and where to meet, such as in the check-in area or baggage claim, etc. Be sure family has IDs and boarding passes in order to clear security.
Your answer was very clear; however, it gives rise to one more question. Outside the security area but within the airport terminals 2 or 3, are there restaurants or coffee shops...someplace where we all can sit together for the several hour layover?
The only place is Dunkin Donuts store located at Terminal 3, area C(international arrivals). It is not much comfortoble there even there are seats. For a lenghty stay you can use the food court at T1 or T4.

I will arrive at JFK from terminal 8--AA, and then I will take the China eastern Airline to Shanghai. I need to get terminal 1 from terminal 8. How can I get terminal 1? What kind of Airtrain can I take? Can I walk there in twenty minutes?
Take Airtrain on track 2 only - it takes 7 min to get to T1. It is not possible to walk from terminal 8 to terminal 1.

A friend of mine is flying in from RDU, North Carolina to JFK. The flight takes off at 1:45 pm and its supposed to land here at 3:20 pm. But she doesn't know what terminal the flight is going to land at. I have to go pick her up but I don't what terminal to go at?
That sounds like it is Jet Blue flight B6 1106. It will land at Terminal 5.
Hi,
I have a flight scheduled to land from Manchester with AA at 13.55.
I have a flight to Orlando leaving Terminal 3 at 16.10 with Delta.
Will I have enough time to collect my bags, clear immigration, transfer to terminal 3, recheck my bags and clear security??
2 hours doesnt seem like very long to do all that!
Depending on how long the lines are at immigration, and how late your bags will come out. Check in your bags as late as possible so they can come out early! After getting your bags, run very fast to the AirTran (train service between terminals). You can ask someone directions to get to the AirTran when you are waiting for your bags. Use the escalators whenever you need to go up and down if you don't have big luggages because elevators will take a longer time.
I will be flying from HKG to JFK (Cathay Pacific), then JFK to IND (Delta airline) on Aug 26. My flight will arrive JFK on 13:10 at Terminal 7 and my next flight to IND will depart at 15:45 at Terminal 3.
Do I have enough time to check-in my luggage again once I arrive the States (JFK) plus walking to Terminal 3? How can I go to Terminal 3 from Terminal 7?
You have plenty of time. Take Airtrain on track 2 to T3 - you will be there in 3-5 minutes.
I will be coming in at JFK on Aug 25, on Singapore Airlines SQ26. Then I have a connecting flight to Detroit on Delta flight 2923. Could you please help me on what the procedure is? My questions are:
1. In what terminal will Singapore Airlines SQ26 land?
2. In what terminal will Delta flight 2923 fly out of?
3. If they are not the same terminals, how do I go from the terminal where SQ26 landed to the terminal of the Delta flight?
4. When I land in JFK on flight SQ26, do I have to get my checked-in luggage from the baggage belt, and re-check them again? If I re-check, which Delta airlines counter do I go to? Is it at the terminal I landed, or the terminal where I will fly out of (to Detroit)?
5. Is it better to have my luggage checked through all the way to Detroit, even if I have to re-check them at JFK airport? (I know that Singapore Airlines & Delta have a baggage transfer agreement, so I can check through to Detroit).
I would appreciate if you could give me step-by-step guidance on the procedures.
Thank you very much!
1. Terminal 4.
2. Any of those terminals - T2, T3 or T4
3. Take Airtrain on third floor of Terminal 4, on track 2 and get off next stop - T2/3.
4. You have to get your checked bags off the belt in order to pass US customs. Then you can either:
- re-check them in at Delta Connecting flights counter, located immediately after customs or
- re-check them in at Delta check-in counter on the forth floor at T4 or
- re-check them in at any of the Delta check-in counters at T2 or T3.
5. Yes.

Hallo, is there smbdy able to help?
I want to buy tickets for Dec 1-st from Amsterdam to Cancun and I found the KLM 641, arr at 12:45 PM, with AA 1611, dep at 06:15 PM.
Is it possible to make this? (I am human) If I can not connect the two flights in one ticket, do I have to go through checkout-checkin? Including pass control and immigrations? How far are terminals?
Many thanks
You will be able to do that - you will have 5.5 hours layover which is plenty to transfer at JFK.
Even the flights would be on one ticket you still have to go through immigration, pick up you checked bags , go through US customs and re-check the bags after(at KLM connecting flights counter).
All that will take place at Terminal 4 , where KLM arrives at.
Take Airtrain on the third floor of T4 , on any track to T8. It is 3-4 mins free ride.

Coming from Canada, landing at 1500 in terminal 8. Departing from terminal 1 at 1650 to China. Is that too little time???
Kind of tight - hope your bags will be checked through and you will have the boarding pass issued by AA for your flight to China.

I am travelling with AA and then switching to Air China, I know I can clear customs in Halifax airport. I am just worried about checking in in time. Are there any shuttles going from terminal to terminal?
Go to the second floor of T8 and follow the signs to the Airtrain. Take it on track 2 - it will take 8 mins to get to T1.

I am arriving on Thursday afternoon from Tel Aviv (EL AL) at 3:20 PM. Is there enough time to connect with a Delta flight 6557 (to Chicago) leaving at 5:45 PM?
Or should I look at the later Delta flight at 7:15 PM?
Thanks
If El Al is on time you should be OK. If you want to play it safe - choose the later Delta flight.
