Thanks in Advance !!

Taxi from JFK to anywhere in Manhattan is $45+tolls+tip. You can also take the NYAirports bus from terminal ($15) to Port Authority Bus Terminal or AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station to E subway ($7.25) to Port Authority, which is only a few blocks from Times Square.

thank you !!!!!!!!

Im looking at getting a taxi from JFK to times Square, and was wondering how much this would cost. Am i right in thinking that this will be a flat cost of $45 if i get a yellow cab from the airport. Thanks alot for your help.

Yes, $45 flat fare+tolls+tip. For good taxi service figure around $60.

Hello,
I need to go from JFK airport to Yorktown (Yorktown Heights, NY 10598). I wondering how I could get a round trip (start tuesday, coming back saturday) to this destination? Do they have taxi or limo going there? Do you have an idea about how much it will cost ?

Taxi will cost you around $125. Inquire at Ground Transportation about shared ride shuttle or limo service. You can take the Metro North-Harlem Line train from Grand Central to Katonah or MN-Hudson Line to Peekskill and local transportation from there.

Help on how much would the taxi costs from JFK to 569 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10022? What taxi should i ride?

Take the NYC yellow taxi at Ground Transportation; $45 flat fare+tolls+tip=around $60 to any Manhattan location from JFK. ONLY take NYC yellow taxi, do not accept any other offers or you will get ripped off!!

Hey all. My friends and I are going to be in need of transport from JFK to a hotel in Brooklyn near the Red Hook terminal. I can see 4 females being labeled "easy marks" for a taxi rip off. Book transport ahead of time? It'll be the 4 of us and about 6-7 bags of luggage.

You will not be ripped off if you take a NYC yellow taxi available at the taxi stand at Ground Transportation. DO NOT accept any other "taxi" offers from "gypsy cabbies" who have a bad habit of overcharging!! They will approach you before you reach the NYC taxi stand so pay no attention to them. NYC taxis will take a maximum of four persons and the fare to the Red Hook area of Brooklyn will be on the meter, around $50+tip for all of you. No need to book ahead of time, NYC taxis are always available.

Absolutely agree with B2G advice - you can also go to self-service phones at Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) counters and call either "Dial 7" or "Carmel" - those are private services at JFK and they will give you a flat rate over the phone prior to your pick up.

July 18 at around 7Pm my daughter needed to find a Western Union since none was to be located at JFK. She hailed a cab and was taken into Jamaica to the western union near the Clarion hotel. The cabbie charged her over $300.00 which was almost every penny she was wired. She was obviously ripped off. How much does a cab cost to drive 15 miles? She needs to get back to JFK tomorrow.

Very unfair. Whenever you are at JFK airport you hear those recordings to never accept any service from other than yellow NYC taxi as they will take an advantage of you and overcharge you big time. Lets hope that this challenging experience will benefit other travelers at JFK airport and help them stay away from such taxi drivers.

ONLY take NYC yellow cabs from JFK, all trips are on the meter. She must have taken a "gypsy" cab which offered her "taxi" service but ripped her off. Taxi from JFK to Jamaica should not have cost more than $20. Certainly a tough lesson to learn.
