what is the fare from jfk to 5 towns long island

how much does a taxi from jfk to woodmere n.y. cost. is there a difference between day and night.
what is the double fare out of the 5 boroughs refer to

From JFK to Woodmere,NY is approximately $25.
The night-time surcharge is $0.50 for rides beginning from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
For Nassau County: The meter will be engaged for the entire trip and the passenger will pay the standard city rate (Rate Code 1) to the county line, then the Nassau/Westchester rate (Rate Code 4) to the destination. Rate Code 4 is double the amount of Rate Code 1.
In other words - once the taxi crosses the county line , the meter goes twice as fast.
This is ONLY for Nassau county - for any other county the fare will be a set rate, pre-determined between the passenger and the driver that must be paid at the end of the trip.

We are a group of 6 with one suitcase each arriving to jfk; wanted to know what our best option would be to get to times square? Would it be more economoical to get a taxi (provided they could accomodate our group), bus, subway or limo and how much would each cost?

Take a private van (arranged at Ground Transportation or Welcome Center counter). It will cost you $80+ for the whole van. The other option is two cabs(at $50.50 each).
Or NYAS express bus($15/person).

Does the Flat Fare from JFK Airport to Manhattan include tipping or are you supposed to add 15%?

The flat fare does not include the tip - it is on passenger discretion.

Hi,
I will land at about 01:30PM at Terminal 8, and I will leave at 05:30PM.
I'd like to know how much does it take in your opinion to get by taxi to my hotel (45th St at Madison Av)and from my hotel to the terminal?? In order to plan my visit at best and in order to arrive on time to the airport.

Thank you!

It takes 40-60 min( depending on the traffic conditions).

Hi! How much does it cost to take a taxi from JFK to
598 Broad Hollow Road, Melville, New York?? If its too expensive, is there another way to get there cheaper?

Thank you very much!

As per nyc.taxiwiz.com :
"That cab ride would cost about $62.30. That is roughly $72 with a 15% tip. It is about 28.1 miles. "

There is a shuttle(door-to-door service) that goes from any terminal to your address in Melville. It is called Super Shuttle Long Island. You can reserve it at Ground transportation(Welcome Center) counter. It costs $58/passenger.
You can also take Airtrain to Jamaica Station($5) and then LIRR train to Farmingdale($5.25 or $7.50-peak). Farmingdale is close to Melwille(~8 miles) and you can cab that distance.
