I'm arriving at T4 and I have 2 hours and 44 minutes to connect at T7. Will I be able to make it? and do I have to go through immigration at T4? I have no idea what I should do except taking the airtrain to T7 so please HELP.

hello
am coming with aer lingus from dublin and am taking the nwa to toronto do i need to go pass the Security/immgarion? cos its the same t4.

I'm arriving T4 from Europe at 10.25am, and has to take domestic flight from LGA to Indianapolis.

Pls advise me:-
1) Have l allocated enought time for the transit?
2) How long to clear custom, and time required to reach JFK's New York Airport Service Express Bus counter?
3) Where the express bus counter located? Pay by cash?
4) How much l much allocate to check-in at LGA, as l'm a foreigner?
Thank you.

My family and I are travelling to South America this year via JFK, unfortunately on the way back we have a 9 hour stop-over are we allowed to exit the airport and book back in time for our flights? We have family in NY.

i'm arriving to the JFK at 8 am monday at the terminal 4, how long does it take between terminal 4 and terminal 8? my fligth will depart to boston at 11 am, is that enough?

How long does it take between terminal 4 and terminal 7?

The AirTrain runs between 5-10 mins. It takes no more than 3 mins to arrive to the next immediate terminal but you must consider the walk from the AirTrain to the check-in counters or to the security screening area. So if you are connecting to another flight I would be a bit more concerned about the security line than the AirTrain. In addition you can not walk from terminal 4 to terminal 7.

Hi,

I am arriving terminal 4, flight lands at 4:00 AM . Friends are coming to pick me up but they may only get there around 6:00-7:00 Am. Where can I stay at terminal 4 ? is there a simple way to get from arrival section to a place were most shops/Cafe are located ? I saw on the terminal plan there is only 1 Cafe Au Bon Pan in the arrival section - is it open in 4:00 AM. TIA

Nothing will be opened at this time. The first location with chairs you find after you get your lugagge, sit down and relax. Stay inside the airport, there is nothing outside.Good luck.

I will be arriving at T5 by Emirates airlines at 14:15 and I have a connection flight by jet blue on T5 departure at 05:00 PM...

1) how to get from T 4 to T 5?

2) is 2 hours enough to finish the immigration procedures , collect luggage , move to and check in at T5?

3) or would you recommend taking a later flight and give my self more time ?

Thank you very much for your time;)

To get from T4 to T5 you would take the Airtrain, which is free and circles the entire airport. Once you come through customs and are at the arrival area, you will see signs for the Airtrain that you can't miss. The Airtrain travels in both directions, just be sure to travel in the direction to T5, otherwise you will have a tour of the entire airport! It generally takes about 15 minutes for a full circle of JFK. Once on the Airtrain, actual travel between neighboring terminals is only about 5 minutes, but you have to wait for it, and the number of passengers means you may have to wait for the next car to arrive.

It generally takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the time you airplane hits the ground to the time you are at arrivals, but this greatly depends on such factors as weather and whether you are traveling at peak times. It also greatly depends upon which line through customs you use (i.e. US Citizens move far quicker than foreigners). If you are a foreign national, I would give yourself at least 3 hours for your connection flight. But if you are a citizen, you should have enough time with your current schedule, but if not, give yourself more time to be safe.

My flight reaches T4 at 11am, but the connection flight is at 9pm. How shall I spend the 10 hours? Is there any city tour or something to keep me occupied? Please Help!!!

There are tours available in NYC, but two things you need to consider. First, to get to Manhattan from JFK, you need at least 45 minutes to an hour travel time, and it is $50.00 one way (plus tolls). The traffic to JFK and from JFK is usually ridiculously busy, and your best bet is to take public transportation from Jamaica station. But if you do not know the NYC transport system, then I think you should avoid that idea as it can be quite complicated. Another consideration is what are you going to do with your luggage while you are touring around? If you are on a connection flight, the airline may hold it for you, but overseas arrivals have to check their luggage through customs and then drop it for the connecting flight. If your airline is not checking your bags through, then you have a problem because the domestic flight may not let you check in so many hours in advance. You can ask the skycaps if they have some means of holding your luggage for you if you pay a fee, but again you are taking your chances. The bottom line is 10 hours seems like a very long time, but with all the complications, and presuming your primary concern is completing your travel without incident, your best bet is to enjoy what the airport has to offer, and buy yourself a day pass at one of the many airlines executive clubs (US Airways for example, has a $50 day pass) to while away the hours you are waiting.

It seems that you're very helpful. Would you help me in some issues? All from the terminal 4:
1- nearest post office
2- Hertz office to deliver a car
Thank you very much.

anybody knows how much the trolleys are for?
