My family and I are travelling to South America this year via JFK, unfortunately on the way back we have a 9 hour stop-over are we allowed to exit the airport and book back in time for our flights? We have family in NY.

How long does it take between terminal 4 and terminal 7?

The AirTrain runs between 5-10 mins. It takes no more than 3 mins to arrive to the next immediate terminal but you must consider the walk from the AirTrain to the check-in counters or to the security screening area. So if you are connecting to another flight I would be a bit more concerned about the security line than the AirTrain. In addition you can not walk from terminal 4 to terminal 7.

Hi,

I am arriving terminal 4, flight lands at 4:00 AM . Friends are coming to pick me up but they may only get there around 6:00-7:00 Am. Where can I stay at terminal 4 ? is there a simple way to get from arrival section to a place were most shops/Cafe are located ? I saw on the terminal plan there is only 1 Cafe Au Bon Pan in the arrival section - is it open in 4:00 AM. TIA

Nothing will be opened at this time. The first location with chairs you find after you get your lugagge, sit down and relax. Stay inside the airport, there is nothing outside.Good luck.

I will be arriving at T5 by Emirates airlines at 14:15 and I have a connection flight by jet blue on T5 departure at 05:00 PM...

1) how to get from T 4 to T 5?

2) is 2 hours enough to finish the immigration procedures , collect luggage , move to and check in at T5?

3) or would you recommend taking a later flight and give my self more time ?

Thank you very much for your time;)

To get from T4 to T5 you would take the Airtrain, which is free and circles the entire airport. Once you come through customs and are at the arrival area, you will see signs for the Airtrain that you can't miss. The Airtrain travels in both directions, just be sure to travel in the direction to T5, otherwise you will have a tour of the entire airport! It generally takes about 15 minutes for a full circle of JFK. Once on the Airtrain, actual travel between neighboring terminals is only about 5 minutes, but you have to wait for it, and the number of passengers means you may have to wait for the next car to arrive.

It generally takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the time you airplane hits the ground to the time you are at arrivals, but this greatly depends on such factors as weather and whether you are traveling at peak times. It also greatly depends upon which line through customs you use (i.e. US Citizens move far quicker than foreigners). If you are a foreign national, I would give yourself at least 3 hours for your connection flight. But if you are a citizen, you should have enough time with your current schedule, but if not, give yourself more time to be safe.

anybody knows how much the trolleys are for?

We arrive on Etihad airways (Terminal 4?) and connect to Delta (Terminal 3). My husband is in a wheelchair and unable to stand/walk. Thus we are unable to take bus/train etc. Can we push the wheelchair between terminals ? We also have a mountain of baggage - how far ? are there baggage carts ?
Thank you

Hey, can you walk from termina 4 to terminal 3 and how long does it take? or do you have to take the airtrain?
thx

My family will arrive at the JFK airport terminal 4 on direct flight from Europe. Can anybody tell me a good place to meet them? Can I get to the terminal without going through the security check? I am not from NY area and I do not know the JFK airport at all. Thanks.

How does one go from terminal 4 to terminal 3 for instance? Can one walk?

how does one go from terminal 4 to terminal 5? and how much time do i have to end with my family immigration?

YES MOST DEFINATLEY 10MIN WALK TO YOUR RIGHT.

This may seem silly, but I'm arriving in Terminal 4 at 3:18PM and will have checked luggage. After I pick up my luggage from baggage claim, how do I get back to Terminal 4's check in counters? My next flight departs at 6:00PM. Will this be enough time to pick up checked luggage, go back to Terminal 4, re-check in and go through security?

Thanks!
