Hi, could you tell me how can I transfer from T4 to T3?. I will be arriving to JFK from Dubai on an EK flignt with family. Will have customs at JFK and further proceed to Cleveland from T3. After Customs at T4 how can I reach T3 and check in with my baggages. Do I have to carry my baggages as my own all the way to T3 or I can check in any counters at T4 for catching our onward flight to CLE. Carts/Trollys available at T4 which can be carried thru. Airtrain and commute to T3 and vice versa for my return trip. Do I have to pay for the Cart/Trolly at the Airport? Please clarify. Thanks

Hi, Could you alos tell me the folloiwing:

- Which gate Flight DL 4299 and DL 6706 usually Operates from including its terminals

- Which Gate I should go to catch 202 at Terminal 4

Thanks

This is unknown until the date of the flight since the airlines change the gates as they need to.

Take Airtrain from T4 which is located on the third floor. Take the train on track 2 and get off next stop which is Terminal 3. You can recheck your bags in at EK Connecting flights counter at T4(right after customs). Baggage carts are available next to the baggage belts. They cost nonrefundable $5(cash or credit card). You can take the baggage cart on the Airtrain and all the way to Terminal 3 security checkpoint.
On your way back just take Airtrain from Terminal 3(the station is located across the street) on track 1 and get off next stop - Terminal 4.

hii , my mother is senior citizen (old) she will come from Cairo Egypt at Terminal 4 and she has a connecting flight to LAX at terminal 7 , she cannot speak English.
i already requested for her a wheel chair and assistant , but i noted that he will not move her from t4 to t7 (actually that is the important point) ,also she has to take her baggage by herself and check in for the other flight ,,, but she cant do this by her self at all. my question is : can i request for her assistant even with money to be with her through all this and to leave her in-front of UA gate ( the flight of LAX ) which is at terminal 7 ? this is very important
appreciate your reply

Hi,
Most likely she will be assisted by the wheelchair agent to the Connecting flights counter for Egypt Air at T4 , where she can recheck her bags for her next flight to LAX. The problem is transporting her from T4 to T7.
Some of the wheelchair assistants go the extra step and assist their passengers all the way to the next terminal but I know it is against the policy of their company to leave the building. You can write a note that your mom will carry asking for such an assistance(from T4 to T7) or asking the assistant to leave her(at T4 Airtrain Station) with somebody that is going to T7 as well.
There is no way to hire somebody(even paid) to assist her at JFK. Try also to speak with Egypt Air(at JFK,(212) 315-0900) and see if they will arrange something.

I just spoke today with wheelchair companies - it looks like they changed they rules recently(and we were not aware of that). Any wheelchair assistant at JFK is now required to drop the wheelchair passenger at the check-in counter of the airline the passenger has a connecting flight with.
It looks like your mom at the end will not have problems being assisted all the way to Terminal 7.

thank you for your care and reply about the wheelchair assistant ,, im really glad about this news ,, but it seems that not everybody noted about this ,, because i called egypt air office twice to ask about this and their answer was no way to take her through the airtrain to the other terminal ,, its cool now

thank you again

We will arrive to t4 from dubai by EK203 at 7:45 am ,then flying to PHX by US airways at 9:59 am T7,
How can we get there(my wife and 2 kids)

Once you clear customs and exit, look for the Airtrain Station(it is located on the third floor). Take ANY train to Terminal 7.

Hello - I will arrive in T2 at 3:42pm and I have a connecting (international) flight out of T4 at 5pm - both flights are on Delta. I have spoken to several Delta employees and received a lot of conflicting information about whether this is a "valid connection". Can anyone here tell me if a) this is enough time to make this connection and b) there is a way to travel between T2 and T4 without leaving security?
Thank you so much for any help you can provide!

You should be able to make it even it is kind of tight. Hope your domestic flight is on time. There is no way to travel between T2 and T4 without leaving security(unless Delta provides bus service on the ramp - check with them once you land at T2). Take Airtrain on track 1 for one stop to Terminal 4

Hi,

My elderly mom is going to India by Air-India. Her flight departure is at terminal 4. So is there a parking in front of terminal 4, where I can drop her directly?
And what all process she has to do eg customs, immigration, security check? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

You can drop her on the departure level, but she has to wait for you until you park the car. Or you can park the car in the short term parking lot(Blue parking)and then walk across the street with her to Terminal 4.
She has to check her bags in/obtain a boarding pass at Air India counter and then proceed to the third floor where she will go through security checkpoint. That is as far as you can assist her. After security checkpoint she has to look for the gate number for Air India flight.
