History - Construction of the airport began in 1942 with modest ambitions. Only 1,000 acres (4 km²) of land on the site of Idlewild golf course were earmarked for use. The golf course provided the airport's original namesake, Idlewild Airport. First commercial flights began on July 1, 1948. The airport was formally dedicated as New York International Airport on July 31, 1948. It was re-dedicated on December 24, 1963 as John F. Kennedy International Airport, following action of the Mayor and Council of the City of New York, and a resolution of the Commissioners of the Port Authority. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

I fly from Frankfurt and I need to see a map of JFK Airport and how I can navigate from terminal 1 to the bus or shuttle service to buy a transport to my hotel in New York.

i am ariving on suterday at 13.47 in terminal 5 with jet blue and i have to catch a flight on 16.25 on terminal 3 for athens with delta airlines, i have luggage, how i can make it? please HELP!!!!

From T5 take AirTrain on track 2 to T3. You can rent a luggage cart and take it on AirTrain.

AirTrain will only take a few minutes between terminals, trains run every 5-10 minutes. You should have time.

i arrive at terminal 3 from phoenix,i have a connecting flight to Sao Paulo with TAM airlines 3 hours later. first i would like to know in what terminal is TAM located,second do i need to check in my luggage with them?and do i have enough time?

TAM departs from T4. If Delta does not have a baggage agreement with TAM you will need to re-check your bags with TAM at T4. Three hours is plenty of time.
