I have a good friend coming via Aeroflot from Moscow this Sat at 5pm. Should she have enough time to make an outgoing 10:30 PM domestic flight? Is the customs/immigration routine as follows?

1) collect bags
2) Clear customs/immigration
3) is there another security screening here and check in and check baggage for the domestic flight ? (this is the second question)
4) go to the required domestic terminal

We appreciate any advice! Thank you!!

you are absolutely right and i have to say that she will have enough time to get to her connection.

her security screening is standard at both the domestic and international flights. she would need to re-check her bags for the second flight.

if she gets out early, she may have to wait before she screens her bags the second time.

I have a client who will be traveling via JFK to St Thomas. They arrive at Terminal 8 at 2120 and travel the next day at 0700. Can they stay at the airport during the night or must they check into a hotel?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards

I can not find any replies about time needed for Delta connection with International flights. Arriving Terminal 3 with Delta from Seatle...Leaving with Etihad (Terminal 4) to abu dabi and only have 1hr26 min to make the transfer. Is this enough time? Leaving from AbuDabi to Johannesburg again. Not sure if the luguage can be booked through from Seatle to Johannesburg via JFK and AbuDabi to save some time from arriving at JFK to departing to AbuDabi. Can anyone please help.

Thank you

That is a really short amount of time to make any connection, let alone an international connection. I am not sure (though I doubt) that you can check your bags through JFK since I don't believe Delta and Ethiad have any sort of connection. I hate to say it, but if the Ethiad flight is on time, I highly doubt you will make this. I believe they suggest being at the airport three (maybe four) hours prior to your departure time.

Does anyone knows whether there are any day rooms or shower facility avaliable in JFK itself? I'm on tight budget and have to settle a nite in JFK to catch my next flight.

Should 1 hour 35 minutes be enough time to switch from Delta to Jet Blue and get through customs after the Delta flight? Arrival from Mexico 9:05pm, Departure from JFK 10:40pm. Thanks for your thoughts.

no way

Hello everybody,

I'm travelling from Belgium to JFK next Friday and I've got a "BIG" question:

I have to go from JFK Airport to the Metro Hotel on the 35th Street in New York! What's the best mean of transport to take to do that? Because I'm a little lost when I see the metro or aitrain lines...!

Thank you in advance for your answers

Elo

Hello - just take a super shuttle for 19 USD when you travel alone. You should order it in advance at: www.supershuttle.com/

If you are 2 persons, you could take a taxi which is 45 USD flaterate to Manhattan.

Save travels!

Hello Elo,
if you travel alone, just take the super shuttle (blue vans) - one way costs about 19 USD per person. You can order it in advance at www.supershuttle.com

One way by taxi is flat rate 45$ - and up to 2 persons are transported for this amount.

Have a good journey and don't forget that you need a lot of time before departure.

either go to the airtrain, take it to jamaica, buy a metro card for 10 bucks (or a week pass if your staying), use the card to get out of the airtrain(5 bucks), and then again to get on the E train to manhattan (2.25), and then get off at 34th street and walk 3 blocks to 6th ave, or: take a cab for 40 bucks (set price)

Very simple. From the terminal take the AirTrain marked Jamaica Station, cost is $5. At Jamaica Station take the Long Island Railroad to Penn Station-N.Y. which is at 33rd St. between 7th and 8th Ave. Walk two blocks north to 35th St. and then right or left depending on where on 35th St. your hotel is located.
