Im simply flying from Syracuse..Is there a time of day that should have the least delays? Or maybe an airline that might use a less congested runway?

Maybe I should ask it this way..If I am flying into JFK from Syracuse how long should I expect this process to delay me? And when I plan on departing how long should I expect to wait before my flight will takeoff? My flight will only last an hour..If Im waiting for 3, it would make sense to fly into LGA??

Wait, so how long is the airport closed for?
What will happen to a flight I already bought, for July 27th? I'm supposed to arrive there from Chicago, and depart from New York, then go to Florida.

The JFK airport is NOT closed, Your flight should be OK.

The whole runway isn't closed, just one of the runways. I have a flight coming to/from there in July to, but we should be fine.

Hi,
I come from Italy and i should land at terminal 8, then go to retrieve my luggage and go to the customs since NY is my first stop in USA.After that i should come back to terminal8 to board my next flight to MIA...Have I to go to the check-in counter or i can go to the board gate directly?in this case what about my baggage?

Thanks

Once you clear customs, there is American Airlines "Connecting Flights" counter where you can transfer your bags. After that just take the elevator to the 3rd floor and proceed to the security checkpoint for access to the gates(assuming you have obtained your boarding pass; if not, you have to go the check-in counter, which is located before security checkpoint) .

Hi,
I'm going to travel to Brazil on March, 03rd on TAM flights departuring from JFK at 08.25AM and I would like to know if there's any problem due to the weather conditions.

Hi there..i was just wondering if there is a bank of america ATM machine at JFK or not

thanks

No, but their are others..

I will fly to JFK this Thusday. I know a Metrocard is convinient to take bus and subway. I'd like to know if is there MetroCard vending machine in JFK airport terminals? Thank you.

You can catch buses at terminal 4. Which is the international terminal and very hectic. I would advise the air-train to Jamaica station (it's free). There they have vending machines and you can catch the subway, buses and the LIRR.

There is no Metrocard vending machines at JFK.
The closest ones are at Jamaica Airtrain station or Howard Beach Airtrain station. Metrocard can be bought at the kiosk at Terminal 4 arrivals as well.

Hi,

I will be flying to JFK to wait for a family member coming to the States for the first time and cannot speak English. I will arrive at terminal 3 whereas he will arrive at terminal 4. Is it possible to wait for him right at the luggage claim area at terminal 4? I want to be right there for him. And then we need to go back to terminal 3 to catch a connection flight to NC.

Also, as I said he doesn't speak English. Is that a problem? I mean what if the officer needs to ask him a question or so, is there a translation service available?

Thanks

There is no way of waiting for passenger coming on international flight inside baggage claim area. The area is Customs protected area. There is plenty of assistance inside, including translators.Very rarely, a customs officer will come outside and ask for specific person to clear up the details.
