I also am trying to contact the baggage dept., since 6/14th for a bag left behind. The message machine has been full since then and I am wondering if something is wrong with the phone in that it is never picked up.

How do I travel between JFK and New Paltz

best rgds

gesta,

If you haven't figured this out already....

You can go a few ways:

1) Take the sky train from JFK to the NYC subway system A train. Take the A train to Broaway Nassau Stop and change to the number 4 train going North getting off at Grand Central Station. Take the Metro North Railroad to Poukeepsie and then take a taxi to New Paltz which is just across the river.

2) Take the sky train from JFK to the NYC subway system A train. Take the A train to the Port Authority Bus terminal. You can buy tickets online or at the ticket counter there that go straight to New Paltz. The times may not fit your schedule hence the train option.

Hi,

Im arriving this friday at terminal 7 and one hour later I have to meet another friend at terminal 8 then meet another friend at terminal 1
My question can we go from a terminal to another ?? or is there a central meeting point where we can all meet ???

Sure you can move between terminals. I've done it myself a few times, just jump on the airtain and within minutes you'll be at terminal 8. If you miss a stop it takes 10 minutes for the airtrain to complete it's loop and you'll be back where you started. Some terminals have better food courts than others as well so if you've a long wait you can grab a bite to eat.

My daughter of 16 will come to JFK alone from Europe. Is there a meeting point where she could wait until her friends will come to pick up ? She will arrive at Terminal M and her friends won't be there as they have to take another plane arriving later on.

There's not Terminal M at JFK. I goes from Terminal 1 to 9. You can go from one terminal to the other via Airtrain. There's really not central area as there are too many terminals. Your daughter can meet her friends at their arrival terminal or vice versa.

Hi.
I will arrive from europe on the 6th of august and I have to get a flight the same day to costa rica.
I have two different tickets.
How many hours connecting time I need in order not to risk to loose my connection?
tks

Florida to New York jfk Airport, Delta Flight 1810, 7:10 off, what time to New York jfk airport?

Hi......I have a 4 hours layover on Oct. 18th....Is there a restaurant outside of security IN airport where my Daughter could meet me for lunch?? Thanks

Most terminals have restaurants outside of security. You have wider choices if you're in oue of the newer terminals.

I will be arrived there on 8 JULY 2009 21:20.

As soon as I get there I want to go to Boston by bus.

Is it possible?

Or Do I have to stay one night at the airport?

If this is not possible, please let me know alternative

ways to get to Boston when I arrive.

Hi there
Another alternative is to take the airtrain to Sutphin Blvd, change over to the J train to Canal Street where you can pick up the Fung Wah bus between Bowery Street and Canal Street (china town). Your bus ticket will cost no more than $15 and buses run every 15 mins to 1/2 hour. I have been taking this bus for 4 yrs and have no complaints. Alternatively, you can take the Greyhound bus from Penn Station to Boston South Station.

Since you'll be @ Port Authority, you can transfer to Amtrk or Greyhound for continued ground transportation. Staying over in NYC is not necessary. Catch the Greyhound to Albany NY or Amtrak to Renselear NY (5 minutes from Albany) & go from there if need be.... But you dont want to stay the night in Albany! So if a stay is inevitable your best bet is NY for nightlight but Albany for boredom & money!

Hey Blah Blah, why would you want to send someone to Boston via Albany? From JFK take public transportation to Penn Station or Port Authority Bus Terminal and take Amtrak or any major bus line direct to Boston.
