I'm flying from AMS to JFK
I'm flying from AMS to JFK on a Delta flight, then need to connect to another Delta flight from JFK to Dayton, OH. Have no idea which terminals are involved. Since I'll be coming from abroad, I'll need to go through customs and recheck bags. What is the minimum amount of time I should leave in between the two flights? Thanks so much!

I have an early flight and am working late at an event: is the terminal open 24 hours so that I can arrive at around 2am to check in and sleep in the terminal for a bit? (I would not want to sleep in the international terminal)

Connecting flights/luggage
I have a Jetblue flight from Boston coming in to JFK. I have a 40 minute layover in JFK before proceeding to another Jetblue flight to the Bahamas. Is this enough time to catch my flight? I also will have a checked bag that is supposed to be transferred directly without me having to pick it up in JFK. Will my bag make it with me?
Make sure to check your bags
Make sure to check your bags all the way to Bahamas. 40 minutes is tight but it all happens in the same terminal so it involves walking from arriving to departing gate at terminal 5. You will make it if your first flight is on time.

Emirates and Jetblue luggage transfer
Arriving at Terminal 4 (via Emirates) and then to board at Terminal 5 final leg. Because Emirates and Jetblue are partner airlines will the check-in luggage be sent all the way through to final destination ? Or passengers need to collect at arrival in T4 and manually transfer to t5 ?

travel to terminal 8 from terminal 5
My wife is coming on jet blue to terminal 5. she need to go to terminal8. She has to pick her baggage and go to terminal 8. Do you have elevators in terminal 5 and what is the best option to travel to terminal 8.
