Terminal 5 is sculpted as a symbol of flight, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1962.

Terminal 5 is open and it is Jet Blue terminal for ALL their departing flights.
There is construction going on of one of the runways that might delay some flights.

My wife is arriving at T5 at 9:45pm on the 05/20/10 and I arrive at 10:04pm at T3 on the same night. Where would be best to meet and how do I/she/we get there, keeping in mind that we want to then catch a cab or shuttle to Midtown???

Thanks in advance,

Having in mind the fact that T3 is VERY confusing(not to leave the fact that you might end at T2 instead if you flying in Delta domestic), the best place to meet is at T5, arrivals level(1st floor), by the Welcome Center. There are places to seat there and wait. Use Airtrain from Terminal 3(or 2) on any track /side to go to Terminal 5.

I am traveling on Virgin America and arriving at Terminal 4 on Friday 4/9. I need to meet family who are arriving about the same time but on Jet Blue. What baggage claim do I need to meet them at? The map says Terminal 5 is closed. What terminal is Jet Blue at?

Where your family is coming from on Jet Blue? Some of the Jet Blue flights(domestic ones) are arriving at T5(which is NOT closed), some of their flights are arriving at Terminal 4.

I'm flying in on Jet Blue to JFK. Is Jet Blue still at terminal number 5?

If so how do I get from Jet blue to Jamaica Station and then onto Penn Station

Jet Blue international arrives at T4, domestic - at T5.
At either terminal the Airtrain station is located on the third floor.
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then either:
-take subway line E to Penn Station or
-take LIRR to Penn Station(faster but more expensive)

arriving on Jet Blue at JFK 12:51pm,don't know what terminal, connecting to west palm beach, flight at 12:35pm, terminal 5. Enough time?
thank you

Arriving at 12:51pm and connecting at 12:35pm? Something is wrong there....Where is the incoming flight from?

My family will be arriving into JFK by Air India at 7:10 am and are to take the Jet Blue 9:40 am flight to Nassau, Bahamas. Is it possible with the immigration formalities and transit time required for making it to the Jet Blue counter.

Yes, it is. Over two hours is enough.

I am arriving at Terminal 4 and would like to catch a flight on JetBlue to Buffalo NY. Which terminal and how do I get there, Please?

You have to get to Terminal 5 - use Airtrain or you can walk the distance between the terminals.

Arrival to jfk at 1:15 via Jetblue. Need to make Jamica train station at 1:45pm! Which is best route via airtrain?

Take Airtrain on track 1( make sure is the one going to Jamaica - the electronic sighs above the doors will tell you that when the train arrives). The ride take 15 min from JFK to Jamaica train station.

I have a flight arriving at JFK's terminal 2 at 9:20 AM, will I be able to catch my connection to St. Maarten also flown by JetBlue out of T5 at 10:10 AM? I am travelling with two children, 3 and 5, and will only have a carry on. Please advise the quickest and the shortest way around!!!

If your flight arrives on time you will make it in time. You will need to take the air-train that goes through all the terminals. This is the quickest route. Watch the direction of the airtrain that you take, in case you take the one that is going in the opposite direction.

I have a flight on Jet Blue at 1:00 am and was wondering how late are the restaurants open in Terminal 5. If anyone out there knows please let me know.

Terminal 5 concessions are closing around 10:30pm. A small food court is open 24/7 though.

I have a flight arriving at JFK's terminal 5 at 7:15 AM, will I be able to catch my connection to St. Lucia also flown by jetblue at 9:15 AM? I can't find out any information about which terminal the flight to St. Lucia leaves. I know all jetblue domestic leaves from T5, so does jetblue international flights leave from T4?

All leaving Jet Blue flights are out of Terminal 5. As long as the first flight is on time, you have plenty of time to catch your connection.

Your website is very very misleading. Terminal 5 is open and handles JetBlue domestic flights. Please update this website!

Hello everyone

If any person finds an LG cell phone (black) please contact me, at my email, it was lost in gate 21 (JetBlue) dharldom28_3@hotmail.com

T5 is the most modern Terminal ever built and is so easy to navigate, unlike the new american airlines terminal that opened about 3 yrs ago!

My kids are flying for the first time & I was freaking out when I saw that! Thanks for the update that terminal 5 is open!

my teenage son will be arriving at midnight to terminal 4 and has a connecting domestic flight (to Toronto) at 8 am from terminal 8. Where can he spend the time between flights?

so I am flying across the country by myself. im 15 and in 3 weeks im flying from san jose, cali, to jfk on a jetblue flight. i then need to get my luggage, check it with delta in terminal 3 and go through security to board my flight to albany. I land in jfk at 6:50 AM and I am scheduled to fly out at 8:45 AM. Do i have enough time????? also, are the terminals close? like within walking distance? I have never flown that far and im also nervous about being alone. HELP!

My daughter will be coming into terminal 5 on jet blue, but will have to leave her next flight out of terminal 7. How far a walk is that for her and how far is baggage? She has to get her baggage and then meet her fellow passengers at terminal 7 for a flight on cathay pacific. I am wondering how far is the baggage claim and how far from there is terminal 7.

I will be arriving at T4 and departing from T5 - 3 hour layover and will have flown from Australia (almost 30 hours) and want to know if there is shower facilities at either of these Terminals so that I can freshen up/change before taking a flight to Bermuda.

I will traver on 6-9-09 a want to now if jetblue terminal will be open to take the Air Train to New York.

Our son is a US Marine and is flying in on 5/23. Will we be able to to recieve VIP passes to meet him at the Gate?
Thank you

Unfortunately thats not very likely. They dont grant passes like that anymore, security is ridiculously tight. They dont even give gate passes to the employees if they lose their ID's.

Hi, I will arrive on T1 from Frankfurt next week (Delta) and have ca. 2h10 min for my Jetblue flight from T5. Is this enough and how do I best get there?
I guess I have to go through passport control and pick up luggage first (?) and then? Thanks!

I have to go 139 Canal St, New York, NY 10002 (China town) from JFK at night 9:00 P.M. Which is the easiest source to reach there ?

AirTrain to Howard Beach, and from there the A train, maybe you should change in bklyn for b or d

Hello there, i am landing at the JFK, terminal 4 and have to get to Fort Lauderdale with Jet Blue. Which terminal should i use, 5 or 6???and how far is it? do i have to use the train or could i just walk? Thanx for the info.

it`s not far at all, give yourself about 10 minutes, btw the airtrain is free, so use it

Terminal Five is opened and solely used by JetBlue Airways, so it seems that the info on this webpage is not current.
Call 1 800 jetblue or go online to www.jetblue.com for thorough info.

I am flying from San Juan, PR to NYC JFK on March 13 09. Which terminal will I go for Jetblue flights since T5 is temporarily closed?

does anyone know when the Jet Blue Terminal 5 restaurants open on a weekday?

I was there at 6:30 and they were open.

just curious, will be flying from boston to ny then on to aruba, with a plane change in ny is 1-1/2 hr enough time to change?

If you are flying on Jet Blue from Boston to NY it should be plenty of time. Jet Blue terminal is all in one spot.

I noticed on the JetBlue website that you can park in the NEW parking garage for JetBlue at Terminal 5. Does anyone have any information on this? How much does it cost, etc. I would need parking for 4 nights. Is it better/cheaper to go to the long term parking lot and take the tram?

The diagram states Terminal 5 is temporarily closed.

Is that still true?

If not, where can I find an updated map of Terminal 5?

Hi all,

in April I will arrive in JFK/T1 at 2.35pm; would like to book a connection to Chicago with Jetblue from T5 which will depart at 4.15pm.
Any idea if this is enough time for getting thru customs/baggage/transport between terminals/check-in?

That is not enough time to change planes - a 2 hr minimum is required at JFK - I'd give myself at least 3 hrs but that's just me.
