Hi
Am arriving at JFK on 19 June and need to travel to Washington DC. What is the best way to do so?
Take AirTrain from terminal
Take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to either LIRR or E subway to Penn Station. From Penn Station you can either take Amtrak train or walk outside and take Megabus or Boltbus, bus is much cheaper but train is a bit faster. If you want to spend the money you can fly Delta or American from JFK to Reagan National Airport or United to Dulles Airport.

At that time of night I would not take the subway. Take a taxi or AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station and then LIRR to Penn Station.
