Hi I arrive Friday 21st at 20.30 hours from the UK. I'm staying at a hotel that is apparently very close to Times Square (West 43rd St.)What is the quickest way to get from the Airport to Times Square?
Many Thanks
Tom
Taxi(the fastest way):
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger. It takes ~40 min.

Could you please help me to find an affordable way to go to Scarsdale, NY 10583 from JFK airport tomorrow evening.
Thank you for your help
Look for Ground Transportation (Welcome Center) counter. There are two services there - Westchester Express and All County; both of them have a door-to-door service to Scarsdale,NY for about $50/passenger.

I arrive on at 2:30pm with a layover of 8 hours. Is this enough to see any sites in NYC and still allow enough time to get back to JFK for my international flight to Europe?
You will have time. Bear in mind that you will need 1-1.5 hours to go to the city and the same to go back. And you have to be at JFK 2-3 hours prior to departure.

My aupair is traveling from Summit NJ to JFK, how and what is the easiest way for her to get there.. She has bags so trains may not let her board.
Need help. Thanks
Tough to take public transportation with lots of bags however both NJ Transit and LIRR have luggage racks on their trains so she could certainly take NJT to Penn Station, transfer to LIRR to Jamaica and then Airtrain to terminals or take the NYAS bus from Penn Station to JFK. Taxi or shuttle service would probably be best.
Hello,
I am arriving JFK airport on May 24. Please advice me on the way to get to Providence,RI. What bus line should I take? Is there any direct option from JFK to Providence, RI?
Many thanks in advance.
Check to see if there are any direct flights from JFK to Providence (PVD) on American Eagle or Delta Connection. Bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal or train from Penn Station will get you to Providence. You can take the NYAS bus that departs from each terminal and stops at both locations for $15 or take the Airtrain to Jamaica Station and transfer to the E subway which stops at both (cost $7.25). The LIRR is also at Jamaica which will take you to Penn Station. Taxi will cost $50+.
Hi, what is the easiest and cheapest way to reach Penn Station from JFK Airport Terminal 4. I will be carrying one big luggage. My flight arrives at 6p.m. June 5, so is it possible to reach Penn station until 8p.m.?
Thank you in advance!
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going two different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then either:
-take subway line E to Penn Station(total fare - $7.25;~1 hour) or
-take LIRR train to Penn Station(faster;total fare ~ $12, less on the weekends; 35-45 min.)

You can reach the whole world from T4:). Where in NJ are you heading to?

Hey, there!
I will arrive JFK in the Aug 22th, how can I go to the Hartford, and go to the University of Connecticut? I have 2 huge luggage, and some small bags. Which is the most efficient way to go there?
There is a shuttle that goes directly from JFK to Hartford - it is called Connecticut Limo and you can book it at Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) counter upon arrival.

I arrive JFK this sunday 23rd at 22h45pm, need to move to Newark airport. What options do I have?
At that time of night I'd take a cab. You'll be on the meter plus tolls but traffic shouldn't be too bad and it's much safer than public transportation so late at night. The subways run 24/7 but bus/train options are quite limited.
Hello, could you please advise me on getting from JFK airport to Providence,RI on May 24?
Many thanks in advance!
Bus or Amtrak are your best and cheapest options to Providence. Bus will leave from Port Authority Bus Terminal and Amtrak from Penn Station, both accessible on the E subway from Jamaica Station via Airtrain ($7.25 subway/Airtrain)) from your terminal. You can also take LIRR from Jamaica to Penn Station; a bit faster and more expensive but the LIRR trains have overhead luggage racks.
I am traveling from JFK on Wednesday May 19th at 11:15 pm. I need to get to JFK from Philadelphia. Is there any shuttle I can take directly from Philadelphia to JFK early on Wednesday morning? or any other way you would recommend to get there?
Thanks for your help and hope to have a response.
Did the flights to Dublin or Shannon leave on Friday - I heard some of them were cancelled due to volcanic ash?
Hello, my flight from europe arrives at 5p.m. and then i need to get to the bus station, from which goes greyhound buses to Albany. How long does it take te reach the bus station with taxi, maybe you know average price? And, please, can you tell me the name of bus station, where i have to go.
It takes around 40 min to get there by taxi . Flat fare of $50.50. The name of it is Port Authority Bus Terminal.

2. Public

There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation
counter or Welcome Center, both open at 6am) that goes to any address in Manhattan for $18.50-$25 per person.

Hi JFK -
I see couple of buses going to Boston in this page like Fung Wah. Please let me know do they do a pickup (either via shuttle or straight) from JFK to Boston?
How frequent they do?
Thanks
PThompson
Fung Wah bus does not pick up at JFK. You have to go to Manhattan(Chinatown, Canal street) to get the bus.
It leaves NY every hour in off peak times and every 30 min in peak times. See http://www.fungwahbus.com
for details.
JFK_E
Could I please know what is the best way to get to this Fung Wah pick-up station from JFK ? I would be carrying a large baggage and will the NY subway allow that ?
Look for State Shuttle at Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) counter. It costs $30/person.

Whats the cheapest/easiest way to get from JFK airport to Baltimore without flying? Am considering bus, but i wonder about the time it would take to get to the bus stations in question, or if there's any corresponding transport to where buses to Baltimore depart from.
You can either take bus(as cheap as $18) or train($95) to Baltimore. For either transportation you have to go to PA Bus terminal(for bus) or Penn Station(for train) in Manhattan.
Check out those websites for details:
http://www.amtrak.com
http://www.greyhound.com
Also you can check out the alternate buses in the beginning of this web page.

Is it possible to carry all the laugage when using the NY Airport express service bus? Does it go in the lauggage compartment or you have it by your side on the bus?
What is the cost of New York Airport Service (NYAS)? Can you carry your lauggage as well?
Thanks,
The big luggage goes underneath , in the baggage compartments. You can carry the small bags with you in the bus. It costs (from JFK to the city) $15/passenger.

Definitely the bus is cheaper than a taxi.
For you to take a bus you have to go to Port Authority Bus terminal in Manhattan and take Greyhound bus to Virginia(or check out the alternative buses in the beginning of this web page).
Here is how to get to PA bus terminal:
1. Taxi(~40minutes)
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.
2. Public(~1hr-1:15hrs)
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to 42nd street stop. Cost-$7.25/passenger.
3. Express Bus(50min-1hr.)
NYAS(New York Airport Service) bus will take you express to Times Square for $15/passenger. The bus leaves every 20 min in front of each JFK terminal. You can buy tickets on the bus or from their representative in front of the terminal.

Hello, I arrive at JFK from Nice at about 2 p.m. on Monday 24 May ... and I need to get to Mendham NJ ... any advice?
There's no NJ Transit train or bus service to Mendham so Morristown would be your closest destination. You can take the bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal or train from Penn Station. Both are reached from JFK by NYAS bus ($15) or Aitrain>Jamaica station>E subway>42nd St./Port Authority ($7.25). You can also take the LIRR (faster than subway) from Jamaica station to Penn Station ($13). Check the NJ Transit site for bus/train schedules. Note: some NJ Transit buses/trains may require a transfer along the way.
