I was booked to fly today, Sunday, Dec. 26, but the soonest United Airlines would confirm me is for Tues. Dec. 28. Hope this gives you some indication? Probably, the best thing is to go to the airport and wait it out there. If something opens up, you will be there to get it but be sure to bring your camping equipment with you.

Arrivals tomorrow
My girlfriend is finally arriving from London tomorrow. However, there's the impending snowstorm ahead, and British Airways has stated they are flying tomorrow. Here's my question. Does the flight still land at JFK or does it get diverted or cancelled altogether?

If JFK remains closed no planes will be allowed to land expect in dire emergency. An airlines' flight plan, will have two or three alternate airports to divert to. Most flights are on approach about 300 miles from their destination and it would be at that point where decisions about landing are made. I would hate to hazard a guess where a flight will land in this storm, but it normally has to be an airport not affected by the storm and can land lots of plans quickly and handle wide bodies — it might be 1000 miles away - I remember once flying to Denver and being diverted to SFO
