My mother is flying in to JFK via Jet Blue (Term 5) I believe and then later that day is departing JFK via Malev (AA partner) via (Term 8). Am I correct to understand she will have to gather bags from Jet Blue and then check them in once again? When does she pass through Customs? I see there is an AirTran to take her from one terminal to another; however, I think she will need assistance with getting from one to the other with her 2 checked bags. Are there porters available or other service to help her with this?

Yes since JetBlue and Malev Hungarian do not have luggage agreement and she will have to recheck them for her second flight. She doesnt have to pass through Customs since shes leaving U.S. There are porters available at JFK for some extra help.

We are arriving from Mexico by Delta at Terminal 3 and we want to store our luggage for few days before we continue our trip to London by Virgin at Terminal 4.

Iberia airlines is at terminal 7 and delta has 2/3 both connected and terminal 4. From terminal 2/3 and 4 to terminal 7 you dont have to walk all you have to do is take any train on track 1 to terminal 7 and from terminal 7 back to Delta terminals on track 2.
Icelandair to Delta Connection
My Icelandair flight from Iceland was changed so I now arrive at 7PM with my Delta flight to Tampa leaving at 8:30PM. I think that means terminal 7 to 3 and clearing imm/customs. What are my chances?

We will be arriving in JFK T3 from Dublin at 1355 to connect to LAX from T2 at 1500 - is this enough time? What do we have to do during this connection?
Walk from one gate to the
Walk from one gate to the other and no need to clear customs or immigration since you will clear that in Dublin Ireland. Your connection is tight since you only have one hour but it is a possible connection if your first flight is on time.

I am meeting at friend who is coming in to JFK from one terminal and transferring to Terminal 2. I;d like to meet them at Terminal 2 for a few hours. Where would be a good place to meet them??

Yes. You dont have to walk
Yes. You dont have to walk between those terminals when you have free air train to help you out. From terminal 4 take an air train on track 2 to terminal 3 and from terminal 4 take an air train on track 1 to terminal 8.
