Dear JFK specialist,

on August 11 I'll be arriving at Terminal 1 with a Delta airlines flight from Milan Malpensa at 3:25. Then, I have a connecting domestic flight (to San Antonio, TX) from Terminal 3, again with Delta Airlines, at 6:30. Do I have enough time? Am I supposed to go through customs, pick up my bag and check it in again? How do I transfer across Terminals?

Many thanks!

If you mean Delta flight operated by Al Italia then yes it is terminal 1 if not then Delta only operates out of terminal 2/3 and 4. You have a good time frame for that connection. You will clear Customs and immigration. In first case when you arrive at terminal 1 you will take an air train on track 1 to terminal 8. If both flights are purely on Delta then you will arrive at terminal 2/3 and it involved a short walking distance from arriving gate to the departing gate at terminal 2/3.

Hi,
I will fly from PEK to JFK via CA981 at 2:20 PM and then to BWI via AA3944 on 5:59 PM. At which terminal will I arrive? and departure? Is there enough time for me to transfer? (I am not US citizen)
Do I need carry All my luggage from the arriving terminal to the departure terminal? I may have difficulty in carrying them, will there be anyone helping me?

You have enough time for that connection. You will need to clear Customs once you arrive at JFK airport. First flight will arrive at terminal 1 and second one will arrive at terminal 8.

Dear JFK specialist--Please help. My daughter is on a group reservation flying out of terminal 7 on an international flight. She will arrive in terminal 5. How does she get assistance transporting her luggage to terminal 7. We are having difficulty checking her luggage all the way through as the original international flight was made as a group reservation--she doesn't seem to have a unique individual reservation #. US carrier says they cannot link her reservation to this group# to transfer her luggage.

If your daughter has two separate tickets with different airlines then she would have to recheck her bags. There are trolleys at the airport which cost 5 dollars cash or credit card and she can get her luggage on a trolley and on an air train from terminal 5 to terminal 7 an air train on track 2. There are also porters available which may help you as well.

Hello,

I will be arriving from AMS at JFK today at 1.15 PM local time. I will arrive with KLM. I have a connecting flight at 2.55 PM with AA to CMH. I arrive at terminal 4, but I leave to CMH from terminal 8. Is there enough time for me to get from one terminal to the other? I am a US citizen.

Thank you for you answer!

You should have enough time as long as your arriving flight is on time.

Hi, my parents are flying in from DC via AA 4544 at terminal 8 and then transfer to China Eastern 588 at terminal 1. I am not sure how that works. AA told me they don't have to worry about luggage but they need to check in at terminal 1 for China Eastern boarding pass and go through another security check. Is that true? Does that mean they will need to check out at terminal 8 and then take the train or walk to terminal 1? I thought by taking inter-terminal trains, they don't have to go through another security check.

Their bags should be clipped all the way through, however you should note that your parents like everyone else have to go through passport control and yes getting their boarding passes for their flights.

I have an Admirals Club membership with American Airlines but today I am not traveling with AA, but JetBlue. As I have really long layover, is it possible to go from Terminal 7 to 8 and back without exiting security and having to re-check?

thanks,
KV

No.

hello
If someone is flying into terminal 8 with american airlines on a flight from Canada and has to get to terminal 1 for flight to Rome with Al Italia is 3 hours enough connnecting time. They will have to clear customs and get their bags.

They will clear Customs in Canada and yes 3 hours is enough time for that connection.
