Where on 22nd St, what is the nearest cross street? Taxi will take you direct for $30-$40 on the meter. The Q subway runs south along 16th St from Prospect Park with stops along the way down to Sheepshead Bay and on to Coney Island; take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to LIRR to Atlantic Terminal-Brooklyn, transfer to the Coney Island-bound Q subway. You can walk from the subway to 22nd St in about 10 minutes.

Closest NYAS stop to that location (near 11th Ave) is Port Authority Bus Terminal at 8th Ave/42nd St. From there you could take the uptown A or C subway to 59th St/Columbus Circle which would be closer.

Two options here:
1. NYAS bus(shuttle) - $13, last one leaves JFK around 7pm.
2. Taxi - on meter ,~$30.

JFK to Bronx
I've only been to New York once so I'm not familiar with getting around at all. I'm trying to get from JFK to the Bronx. Super Shuttle charges $125 there and $125 back to the airport. That's a wee bit expensive. Help!!!

Yellow cab will charge you on the meter and will be around $60-$80. If you are not comfortable with metered charges then you can get a private car - a flat price will be given to you beforehand( and definitely will be way less than $125). Ask about them at Ground transportation (Welcome Center).

You can take either shuttle($18.50/passenger)or an yellow cab(flat fare of $50.50 for the whole cab).
Ask for different options at Ground transportation counter/Welcome Center.
