Hi Craig,
check with baggage office for Jet Blue once you come back - usually all unattended bags are turned in that office.

I believe I mistakenly left my silver Fuji film camera underneath my seat on Thursday March 11th. The Jet Blue Flight from Nassau to JFK was number 722 and I was seated in seat 7A. If you have any information or suggestions of how I can recover this camera, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I flew JFK-LAX-Auckland and somewhere between checking my luggage in at JFK and leaving LAX I have had things stolen from my luggage. Current count 3 items. 2 new calvin klein belts and some new VS PJ trousers. Pissed off at thieving b**tards!!! It was United flight to LA.

I'm looking for a DARK BLUE JACKET, very heavy, that I forgot on Monday at the customs, gate 3.Spent on immigration and also the information desk storage delta. I really need because it is a borrowed clothes.
Please, help me.

No one is answering the Terminal 1 phone number. I was on an Air France flight and lost item at JFK. Is there an alternate phone number or other way to get thru?

I lost my walking stick on Feb 28 somewhere in Terminal 2. I've contacted Delta Airlines without luck. I need the walking stick to get around since I injured my hip. My name and address are on a label on it. Please contact me. Thank you.

I lost my purse at March 5th. I was busy because of my flight time, and I think I lost it in the security check point at terminal 8. Its color is black, and inside, there are my student ID and credit cards and some chash.

Hi, My husband and i flew from LAX to JFK on March 7th. We left our SLR camera on board the flight. All of our vacation pictures are on the camera. We would be absolutely grateful if anyone could help us find it. please respond if you have any leads. Many Thanks, Cailin

LOST AND FOUND?? MORE LIKE FINDERS KEEPERS!! THESE PEOPLE ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A HOLD OF! I FILED A CLAIM WITH TSA BACK IN NOVEMBER.. JUST THE OTHER DAY THEY FINALLY TELL ME THAT IT WAS TURNED INTO LOST AND FOUND BACK IN NOVEMBER 2009(WHEN I LOST IT), AND NOW IS WHEN I RECEIVE NOTICE OF THIS! I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET A HOLD OF ANYONE ON ANY OF THESE PHONE NUMBERS. THE ANSWERING MACHINE STATES, "WE'LL CALL YOU IF WE FIND IT", THEY FOUND MINE AND I HAVE A RECEIPT NUMBER TO PROVE IT! WHY HAVEN'T THEY CALLED ME THEN???

My wife flew into JFK on American Airlines last Saturday, and left something on the plane. She's been repeatedly calling (718) 487-7525 for the last couple of days, and I just tried several times myself. It seems to have a permanent busy signal. (She also tried calling the airline; they said to call JFK.)

Would posting the details here be the best alternative?

I can be reached by e-mail at [email protected]

The right number is 718-487-7472.

Then why does this web page still have the wrong number? I reported this over two weeks ago; how long does it take to fix it?

That's not to say that having the correct number is particularly useful.

As for my wife's lost item, all attempts to get any information about it were unsuccessful. When she showed up at the airport for her return flight two weeks later, she went to the lost and found department and the item was sitting there waiting for her; apparently it had been there the whole time. Why did nobody notify her that it was there, even when she called and asked?

Apparently if you lose something on an American flight at JFK, the only way to get it back is to show up in person at the lost and found desk -- which is going to be difficult if you don't happen to be in or near New York.

If you want to contact me about this, the [email protected] address will remain active for a little while longer; then it will be permanently deactivated.
