JFK to Greenport, NY
I will be arriving to JFK on Saturday morning (10:30am), June 19th and need to get to Greenport, NY. What would be the best way to get there? Bus, Train, Taxi? All three? Any help would be great.
You can take Airtrain from
You can take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station and then LIRR to Greenport. There are only two trains on Saturday to Greenport so the next available train that day is the 2:38pm departure from Jamaica to Ronkonkoma where you transfer for the train to Greenport and arrive at 5:05pm. Cost for Airtrain and LIRR is about $20. Since Greenport is way out at the end of the North Fork of Long Island taxi and shuttle van would be pretty expensive, over $100. Take the train!

Easiest way is by taxi which will cost about $40. Cheapest is by Airtrain/subway ($7.25); take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to E subway and get off at Queens Plaza. Exit station at Queens Plaza South and call your hotel as they have a shuttle sevice that will pick you up at Queens Plaza South & Jackson Ave.
Hi, I read somewhere that it
Hi,
I read somewhere that it was possible to purchase a value-pack of 10 Airtrain tickets at a reduced price of $25 ( which works out to be $2.50 per trip).
We are travelling in a party of 3 and will like to make use of the reduced rate.
Can u please advise if this value-pack is in the form of booklets ( which we can tear and split the coupons amongst us) or in the form of a stored value card ( and if so, then can we zap it 3 times per trip?)
Finally, where can we buy this value-pack ( coz your website mentioned that we pay upon exit)?
thanks..lyn from canada
