We are a party of 3 travelling by train from Florida on the 2nd/3rd January 2009. We would like to freshen up with a shower before flying out of Terminal 7. Any thoughts on ease of using VIP lounges? Is it possible to get between terminals after check-in?

I will arrive on Terminal 7 from London, and we will go to Grand Central in Manhattan, is it easy? Because we are with a child.....please tell me how many changes and wich trains because we are italian and we don't know very well english. Thanks Sara

Forget the train or subways - this is recommended for EVERY traveller not just foreigners. Here are your options in order of the best option.

1. Take a taxi anywhere to Manhattan for a flat rate of $60 (it's $45+tolls+tip). If you ever have a doubt, tip at least 10%. They are supposed to drop you off exactly where you ask them to, just give the address. Don't let them drop you off anywhere else.

2. Bus. $12-15. It will either take you Grand Central station or Penn Station. From there you can take the subways to wherever you please.

3. Shuttle Van. The rate depends but it's around $20. They will drop you off at a hotel, Penn/Grand Central, and sometimes even at your hotel (it depends).

These options are available to you right outside your arrival terminal/baggage claim. Look for the signs and ask a uniformed person because there are designated areas to take taxi, bus, or van.

I don't suggest taking any other way, especially if you're a tourist.

Good luck to all of you and welcome to the Big Apple!

Its not easy, but its not impossible.

From Terminal 7 take the AirTrain ($5 US) to Jamaica Station. Take the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) train (about $7) to Atlantic Center (Brooklyn). At Atlantic Center, transfer to the NY subway (MTA - $2 per trip) trains 4 or 5 heading towards Manhattan which will take you to 42nd St/Grand Central Station.

Good luck!

if you want to avoid the Long Island Railroad you can take Airtrain to Howard Beach ($5). At Howard Beach you can transfer to the subway A train ($2). After about an hour, get off at Fulton Street/Broadway-Nassau Streets, its the first stop in Manhattan. At this station you can transfer (free) to either the 4 or 5 subway train (it doesn't matter which) and ride about another 30 minutes to Grand Central.
Some of the transfers can be a bit confusing but there are plenty of signs and employees to help out...
Good Luck!

HAS TERMINAL 7 DUTY FREE - COSMETICS ?

how long will it take me to get through t7 after landing on flight from london

With no checked bags, its just the immigration line time so under 30 min. With checked bags allow another 15 minutes.

My boss is arriving Terminal 7 and needs to claim baggage and then re-check baggage and get back to Terminal 7. Does anyone have directions that can help him do this efficiently? He only as one hour in between flights.

Thank you.

Keep in mind he needs to go through the immigration so my bet he's not gonna make it...

Landing in Terminal 4 and will need to pick up luggage then transport to Terminal 7 for a connecting flight. Can you tell me where the baggage carousel in terminal 7 is and how do I connect to Terminal 7? I have 3hrs time for connecting flight. Is it sufficient?

I am arriving with Delta from London into New York at terminal 7 and need to go to terminal 3 to go to Las Vegas with Delta Airlines. How long does it take to get from terminal 7 to terminal 3. Thank you!

It's very quick -- less than 10 minutes. Go out of terminal 7 and get onthe skytrain which is on the center track -- it goes around the airport and stops at Terminal 3 in only 3 or 4 stops. Unfortunately, there is no way to change terminals without going out of security, so you will have to clear again. All good wishes.

I will arrive JFK by CX flight at 1330 hrs on 21-9-2008 and tehn connect AA1787 to Florida at 1530 hrs (STD). Does it mean that I will arrive at Terminal 7 (CX) and need to proceed to Terminal 8 (AA)? If this is the case, what is the shortest way to go from Terminal 7 to Terminal 8 and do I have sufficient time to connect the flight? Is there any routing / map from T7 to T8?

I have 1 hr. 20 mins. between flights. I am arriving at Terminal 7 and leaving from Terminal 4. Do I take the Airtrain? Can I make the flight?
