If we arrive at terminal 8 (on American - from domestic location) and our connecting airline is at terminal 7 (United-to Hawaii)will we have to go through security again at terminal 7 or will we be able to just go through to our departure gate? We only have a 1 hr layover and we are concerned whether there is enough time.

You will be cutting it very close. Once you arrive at terminal 8 take an air train on track 1 to terminal 7. Watch gate number on your boarding pass. Your bags should be clipped all the way to your final destination. If your flight on American Airlines in on time you should be OK. If not adds are against you.

Hello,
We plan to come from Russia, Moscow to JFK with Transaero airlines on May, 16th. Than we need to recieve our laggage, find our next flight from JFK to Denver, CO and recheck our laggage. But I don't know where we will arrive (terminal), where should I get my bags and where should I go to go to Denver (terminal 5, but I'm not sure about it). Also I don't know how I can get from one terminal to another.
Could you please help me with it. It's my first time in NY!
Thanks in advance!

The reply below is not correct! You will most likely arrive at T4, you will collect your bags to clear customs, then proceed to AirTrain on the third floor and take any train on track 1 one stop to T5 if you are flying on Jet Blue to Denver.

Thank you b2g for answer.

Airport terminal authorities only please.

My daughter will be coming into JFK from Zurich, Switzerland on Swissair. She will then be connecting with an American Airlines flight to Seattle. After she goes through customs will she be able to recheck her baggage right there at the Swissair terminal or will she have to take her bags to the American Airlines terminal?
If she needs to take the baggage with her to the American Airlines terminal could you describe the shuttle service between terminals. She will have 2 large suitcases and her ski equipment. Would it be best to take a taxi to the American terminal? Many thanks

She will recheck her bags with American Airlines at terminal 8 for her second flight. At terminal 4 on the 3rd floor take any train on track 1 to terminal 8. It will be 2 minute ride. No need to take a taxi.

Hi ,

I am trying to track the following flight from Abu Dhabi to JFK - EY-101 - May 9th 2011

I am not getting proper status website, where i can get it.

Can you please advice where i can get this info.

I tried http://www.flightstats.com .. its not giving latest info..

Thanks in advance.

I know it is kinda late but a good website that I found very helpful myself and for your and everyone else future refrence.Go to www.google.com type it JFK airport arriving and departing flights then click on the link that says departures or arrivals. You can keep track of arriving and departing flights from there as well as traffic in air as well as individual flights. That website gives you flight number, name of the airlines, city of departure and final destination, flight status, gate number at JFK and terminal number as well.

Hi, my Aer Lingus flight will be arriving into Terminal 4 on June 20 at 1.15pm. Will that leave me enough time to make an American Airlines flight leaving from Terminal 8 at 3.30pm (for Cincinnati)? Thank you in advance for your time.

Yes. 2 hours and 15 minutes is a fine time frame for a connection.

My wife and I are coming from Zurich to SLC with Delta and only have 1 h 45 m to connect, I am a U.S. citizen, and she just got her green card and will be going through customs with it for the first time, is there anything we can do to make sure that we don't miss our flight?

You may want to rebook your second flight with a longer time frame between the flights for the comfortable connection times. If a person in this case your wife comes to the U.S for the first time with her green card the whole immigration procedure may take over 3 hours.

My daughter is flying to JFK from Tel aviv and gets in at 5:40am on El Al. I have to book her a connecting flight to Chicago Ohare. There is a flight at 9:00am on Delta. Two questions: Will she have enough time to go through customs and make this Delta flight? and second, will she have to bring all her luggage with her to the Delta terminal or will she beable to recheck her bags immediately after going through customs by El Al which I think is in terminal 4. The next flight to chicago is noon.
Thanks for your help!
