We're arriving at JFK mid morning on Saturday and need to get to Smithtown on Long Island. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way, or any idea what a cab would cost? Thanks!!!

Check with AA if you can change flights, but they may charge you more than it would cost to travel between LGA and JFK. There is shuttle bus service from all terminals between airports-$13 or by taxi-around $30. Travel time by taxi is about 30 minutes depending on traffic, by bus a little longer.

NY Airporter has a bus that
NY Airporter has a bus that departs from each terminal to Grand Central Terminal continuing to Weehawken every 2 hours from 6:30am to 10pm, then you can take local transportation from Weehawken to Hoboken. Not sure of the fare to Weehawken but it's $15 to GCT so I'm guessing around $25?? You can also get to Hoboken by train; AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to LIRR to Penn Station, walk one block to PATH station at 33rd St/6th Ave., take PATH train to Hoboken. Total cost approx $13-$15.

Subway will be better, it will stop about a block from the hotel. Take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to the E subway to 5th Ave/53rd St, hotel is on 6th Ave.
