By an air train on track 1. It takes about one minute.

Hi,
I need to change flights from Emirates to JetBlue and have only 2 hours to do so.
1) From which terminal to which terminal do I need to transfer and how long does it take?
2) Do I need to go through customs and check in again with luggage in JetBlue? If so will I have enough time?
thnks, G

1. From terminal 4 to terminal 5 by an air train on track 1.
2. Yes you will clear Customs and Immigration and then recheck your luggage again with JetBlue. Yes you do have enough time.

Our nephew is arriving from South Africa at Terminal 4 at 6 in the morning. What time do you think I need to be there to get him (giving time to get through baggage and customs)? Right at 6? Do I just go to terminal 4 arrivals and that's where he'll be? And are there any payphones there that he could use to call me if we can't find each other?

Yes terminal 4 arrivals. Show up around 630AM.

On the airport map I can't tell if the Airtrain between terminals is within the secure area or outside of it? If it is within security, could you check your bags at an Airline in terminal 4, then get to Terminal 2 in order to clear security, then take the Airtrain to Terminal 4 for the flight? If so, how do you get from Terminal 4 to 2 outside of the secure area?

I will be arriving in Terminal 4 from Dublin at 7:30pm June 22nd. I wish to catch a flight via Jet Blue to Chicago leaving at 8:59pm. Do you think I can make it thru customs, grab my backage a re-check it thru a new airline, etc, in an hour and a half?

It will be tight but the connection will be possible if your flight is on time and customs and Immigration isnt too busy when you arrive.

I am flying with Royal Jordanian on a direct flight from Amman to JFK (presumably Terminal 4).
I will be travelling with a dog who will be checked in with the cabin luggage and was wondering where I could obtain her once I arrive in the terminal. Is there an "oversized luggage" area near the general luggage carousels? Will I need to contact an RJ representative or someone in baggage at JFK to go and get her?
Other airports seem to waver between having a dog placed with the oversized luggage and sometimes staying directly in the luggage cargo bay where you have to go the dog.
...
Also, is there any advice on once the dog is picked up about how to navigate through the terminal and/or customs?
...
Thanks!

I'll be arriving at terminal 4 at JFK around 4:15pm . Can I make it to Terminal 8 on an AA flight to Miami (Take off at 8pm) ??

Absolutely yes.

I am arriving in Terminal 4 on Aer Lingus flight with an onward flight on Jet Blue to LAX with a 3 hr layover - How do I get to terminal 5 and which transport option do I take ?

Go to the third floor of terminal 4 take an air train on track 1 to terminal 5. It will take only about a minute.

I know I can take the airtrain from the subway. Is it clearly marked where to get off for Virgin America?

Look for terminal 4 on the air train signs and on the announcement board. Virgin America departs from terminal 4.
