You will need to pick up your luggage in NYC JFK as it is your first entry to U.S and you will need to recheck it through Customs and then recheck it again for your second flight.

I will be traveling from Toronto (Canadian passport)and arriving at Terminal 7 at 4:50pm. I have a connecting international flight departing at 8:30pm from Terminal 1.
Is this enough time to make my connection?

Hi,
my friend will doing transit in JFK terminal 1 (flight from Kansas) to terminal 3 (intercontinental flight) with long connection time between flights. Is it possible to meet him somewhere in the airport to spend time together or maybe its allowed to get out from the airport?
Thanks in advance,
Maksym

Hello,

My family is traveling from India to RDU through JFK by Air France. They will arrive in T1 at JFK. The final leg (JFK to RDU) is Air France connection as well(Delta from T3). If their baggages are tagged for final destination (RDU) at the start of their trip in india, is there a facility to re-checkin the baggages at Terminal 1 itself after clearing customs. This will avoid carrying all the way till T3.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

Yes there is.

Hi JFK_Specialist. Can you please help on my above question ? Thanks!

Hi ,
My father and I will depart on the same day. His airline is Cathay Pacific in Terminal 7 and my airline is AA in Terminal 8. Due to he can't speak good English and he is old, i want to do the check-in , security check point and reach the correct gate with him, and then i will depart later on.
I will check-in for myself first in Terminal 8 and go to Terminal 7 to check-in for him. Then i can bring him to the security check point and to the gate.
However, i don't know whether the gates for terminal 7 and 8 are connected. Pls advise any suggestion if i can go through all steps with my father but i still can reach my gate on time.

I am flying from DCA to Moscow via JFK with Aeroflot (both flights). Will my bags go to Moscow directly or I will have to claim baggage at JFK and then recheck it for the Moscow flight?

Yes they should go directly.

My fiancé will be arriving from Moscow on Aeroflot Sept 30 (Sunday) at 12:20 in the afternoon. She is coming on a K-1 (fiancé) visa. I understand that it is a bit longer for this type of "immigrant visa". How much time should I figure it will take her (safely) to get through passport control, customs and baggage claim to the arrivals hall? I will be picking her up there at Terminal 1. Also, can someone advise of a decent restaraunt between JFK and the Statue of Liberty (it is the first thing she wants to see in America)

Thanks in advance.

It may take her up to 3 hours to do all necessary paperwork.

Hi..
I'm arriving at JFK on 7/23 around 9pm at T1(KE)... and have a flight to catch at T5 on the next day at 6:30am (B6).. After I pass customs, i plan to go to T4's The Lounge and stay there until they close at 1:30am then either stay at T4 until 4am-ish then go to T5 or go straight to T5 after the lounge closes..

T1->immigration->get my checked bag->customs->Airtrain to T4->out the secured area->the lounge->train to T5? -> chk my bag at B6 desk -> pass the secured area to the gate

am i right?

what do u think? any other ideas? checking into a nearby hotel could be an option but it would only allow me a couple hrs of actual sleep...

thx, the specialist

T4 is the only one open 24/7 ?

Stay at Terminal4 which is open 24/7. Your first plan sounds good to me.
