After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

Hi,
I will be arriving to terminal 8 and then depart from No4. It looks to me that they're at the opposite sides, hence there may be no transfer for interconnecting passengers. Is this true? Do I have to exit the terminal and then go through the whole process of checking in etc...?Rgds, D.

Pax arriving from LHR by BA 173. Could you inform which terminal would the flight come on ?

Also, could you let me know urgently if there is a porter service available at JFK airport at the same termiinal and what are the charges for porter service.

What kind of food are we allowed to take on a plane? I have a small child and he will need snaks during our 10 hour flight.
If he is an infant in lap what kind of baggage do we have for him? Can we pack any bags to check in? or carry on.
Also we have a fragile item and bulky how should we pack it best? It's a stationary computer with a flat screen. Something possible to pack into our checked bags?
Thanks

we have a connecting flight and have been delayed 11 hours in JFK and are wondering if their are shower facilities where we could freshen up, as we have a long flight ahead of us to England.
many thanks,
Katie

Do I need the credit card I made my reservations online with to get my tickets at the airport?

My in laws will be arriving on JFK at 5.00 PM in mid of May 08. Their next suitable domestic flight is on next day morning. They will not be able to manage the stay and travel in any of the hotels near airport. Is there any facility available on JFK where in they can wait at the airport the whole night?

Thanks.
