There are 8 operating airline terminals At JFK Airport, Terminals 1 to 8. Terminals are located around the central terminal area (CTA). The terminals and parking lots in the central terminal area are divided into five areas.

Those two terminals are the ONLY two at JFK connected and the passengers do not have to clear security between them.
The walk is 2-3 minutes(there is even mowing walkways).

I am travelling to JFK from CAI on egyptair arriving at 3:30 pm in terminal 4 my next flight departs at 6:00 from T7.Is that enough time to go through customs and clear security in T4 and T7?
If Egypt Air is on time - yes, you have plenty of time to do that.

Hi,
I'm flying from Toronto to San Francisco on American Airlines, with a 3hrs and 10min stop in JFK at midday with plane change. Itinerary says the first flight is "operated by American Eagle". My sister lives in New York and would like to come see me in the airport. Would this be possible? Where would she go?

Yes, that is possible. AA from Toronto comes in New York as a domestic flight. Your sister can see you at Terminal 8, 1st floor, where domestic arrivals is located at.

I will be arriving on 12th March on BA001 from Shannon where we will have cleared US customs. We are due to arrive 17.15 to connect to AA613 for Miami. Can you please tell me if we can get from the BA terminal to the AA terminal without having to clear customs again and roughly how long it would take. Thank you.
As long as you cleared the US customs in Shannon you do NOT need to clear customs in US(even you have a transfer flight). BA terminal is T7 and AA terminal is T8 and very convenient way to get from T7 to T8 is the free Airtrain. It will take you no more that 10-15 min between those two terminals on Airtrain(including walking to the stations).
At T8 you still have to go through security check point though.

Is it necessary to go through security screening when transferring flights from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 using Air Tran?
Yes, those are two different buildings(not even connected). You have to clear security again when transferring from T3 to T1.

If i was to fly to france what terminal would I be in? How many resturants are in the airport? And what time would I leave?
Currently only Delta, Air France and American Airlines offer service to France from JFK. Check with those airlines for times of departure.

TM1 stands for Terminal 1. There is no specific designated area called "meeting point" in each terminal.

Hi I am coming in from Detroit on Delta then flying to Frankfurt on LH. Which terminals and how far apart are they - walking distance. Thanks!
Delta from Detroit will arrive most likely at Terminal 4.
And Lufthansa will depart out of Terminal 1. Those two terminals are far apart - the Airtrain is one convenient way to get between the terminals. It takes only 4-5 min.

I'll be travelling to Dubai in a couple weeks via Delta and Emirates. I'll arrive from Florida at terminal 3 and will depart out of terminal 4 on Emirates. Right now, there's 1 hour and 33 minutes between flights if everything is one time. Is this ample time between flights? Will I be able to make it, and if so, what's the best means of getting from terminal 3 to 4?
We are arriving on an Icelandair flight at 2:30 PM. Our next flight is on AA to NC leaving at 3:50. Is that enough time or should I change our flights. We will have to go through customs and recheck our bags as we cannot check them all the way through. Thanks
It is kind if tight. On your place I would choose to get on earlier flight out of Europe or later flight to NC.

i will arrive at 19:10 on JKF airport (flight from Dublin (Ireland) Next plane i will have at 21:50 to Norfolk but form La Guardia airport. Which terminal i will arrive and is it enough time to get to the other airport. Thank You
I am traveling alone with a 3 year old and 1 year old. Is it possible for my husband who is not traveling with us to go through security to the gate to help us get there with all our carry on's - stroller, car seat, bags - thanks
Some of the airlines do give a pass for an additional person to go to the gate. Speak to the airline at the time of check in.

I will arrive in JFK from Miami with American Airlines at Midnight and have to catch another plane to London the morning after at 9.30 with the same company.
Can I leave the airport during this time or do I have to stay for 9 hours in the international transit?

Hello I'm arriving with americian airlines from washington at 13.59 at JFK. At 15.50 I have a KLM plane to Amsterdam.(Terminal 4) Do you think I have enough time to take my luggage from one Terminal to the other or should I take a plane earlier at Washington?
Less that two hours is kind of tight, especially if you flying out international. I would opt out for more time. Just to be on the safe side.

My friend and I are both flying into JFK airport but we're flying different airlines. She's flying United and I'm flying Delta. Where would be the best place to meet?
United lands at Terminal 7 . Since that terminal is less complicated you can meet there.

I'm arriving at 13.59h at JFK at terminal B (I don't know if this is rignt while I can't find it on your map) and have to take a flight at 15.50H at terminal 4 with KLM.
Is this possible ? Do I have enough time?
We are planning to arrive from the UK at around 4:45pm and have a connecting flight to Buffalo at 6:30pm. Is this sufficient time to clear whatever customs are required and transfer to a different terminal?
It depends on the fact if your flight from UK is on time and how fast you will clear the customs. In ideal situation, 2hrs between should be enough. But again, not all the time this happened at JFK. More time between the flights will give you more peace of mind.

Can Any body tell me how to get from T3 to T4, because I'm arriving at 4:30 p.m. I have to pick up all my luggage then go to check-in in T4.
I need a quick response PLZ.
Airtrain is one of the options. It comes every 3-5 min and if you take any train at the platform it will take somewhere between 1min to 8 min to get to T4. The Airtrain arrives at T4 on the third floor - all you have to do is to go up one floor and find the check-in counter for the connecting airline. The second option is walking - there is walkway between T3 and T4( just follow the fence) and the distance is 5-7min by foot(of course depending on the weather).

I just want to ask how to get from terminal 7 to terminal 5? How long is the travel time and where will i go for transportation. Because im a bit worried that i will miss my flight, Im arriving via Cathay Pacific at terminal 7 at 1:10 PM and need to catch a flight 3:30 PM. Do i still have enough time on transfering? Dont worry about it. You will have enough time.
All you would have to do is take the airtrain. Once there just ask someone which side is to all terminals. that will take you where you would have to go. I should take you about 5 mins or less.
1. Airtrain - it is a long walk(10 min) from T5 to the Airtrain Station; Airtrain between terminals(make sure you get this one) comes every 3-5 minutes; Between T5 station and T1 station is 3-5 min travel time. T1 Airtrain station is connected with Terminal 1;
2. Taxi - yellow cab will take you between terminals for a charge between $10 and $15( it is actually on the meter).
Travel time - 10 min.
I will arrive to terminal 8 and my sister will arrive at terminal 1, where is the best place to meet with each other at the airport in order to get a limo to our hotel together?
I am traveling to Haiti and have a tight connection I come into terminal 6 at 6:30 am have to pickup my bags then head to terminal 3 for a 9am flight. How long does the train take to get from terminal 6 to 3?

That is, do you leave security in going terminal 3 over to 2? How long is the walk?
