Early (earlier that 6:00am) pick-up of luggage is possible.
Price list (as of May 1st,2010) for baggage storage only at the facilities at Terminal 1 and Terminal 4.
The prices are per bag, per 24 hours:
Up to 20" - $4
21" - 24" - $6
25" - 26" - $8
27" - 32" - $11
Other(non standard bags, skis etc) - $16

hi, we are attending to go to mexico. we want to store one of our luggages in JFK. we're gon'a leave from terminal 8, and suppose to land back 10 days later on 9:30PM at T8 - 2 hours later we have aflight to Israel from T4, where will be the best to store our luggage? (since our landing time is very close to the closing time of the storage room on terminal 8...) and how far is T8 from T4?

Store your bags at T4 - the facility there is open 24/7. Even if your flight is delayed you won't have problems retrieving your bags.
T4 is 10 min away via Airtrain from T8.

I arrive by American Airlines at 0259 PM Terminal 8 on 5th,Jun.I have to leave by Etihad to Abudhabi at 1050 PM on the same day.Can I engage a round trip taxi, so that I can see Manhattan and come back to JFK terminal 4 by 7.30 PM.What will be the charges?

You can do that - one way will cost you flat $50.50, the driver will engage the meter while cruising in Manhattan, and then flat $50.50 for your way back.

Hi JFK Employee,Arriving from Cleveland on June 5th at JFK terminal 8 by American Airlines at 2.59 PM.My Itihad flight to Abudhabi is at 10.50 PM.Can I store my baggage see Manhattan and comeback?What is your advice?

You can do that - take Airtrain on the second floor of T8 on track 2 to Terminal 4. At T4 go downstairs and look for Hotel Reservation counter. Next to it is the luggage storage.
After you leave the bags you can hop on the NYAS bus(which is right outside of the building) which will take you express to Time Square($15). Bear in mind that you have to leave the city around 7pm, so you can be at T4 around 8pm for your Etihad flight.

storage during all day layover
I am arriving on US Airways around 5 am on Sunday June 13th and departing that night via Virgin Atlantic and would like to leave my baggage in storage for the day while visiting Manhattan. What would be the most efficient manner to proceed in? Would I be able to leave my bags at the storage at terminal 4?

Since you departing on VA, the most convenient place to do that is T4.

hi, m arriving at terminal 4
hi, m arriving at terminal 4 from india on 5th june (8 am) and going to buffalo for 3 days. will leave from terminal 3 on 8th at 1pm. wish to keep the luggage weighing abt 24kgs size(14in-18in-30in). kindly let me know wat the cost would be to store the luggage for the 3 days.
