Hi
I have 24hrs in NYC before continuing my journey, but depart on a different ticket than the one I arrive on so I will need to claim my bags upon arrival. Would it be possible to check in early and leave my bags with the airline i will continue on (Qatar airways) or is baggage storage the only way I can get my bags off my hands for the day? Both my arrival and departure are on international flights in terminal 4.
Thanks for your help. This is a great service to travelers.

Check-in early with an airline that does not have 24 hours presence at JFK is hard, not to say impossible.
You best choice is to use baggage storage at T4 even though is paid service.

is there any limit of days that can leave the luggage in the luggage storage? What is the size limit?thank you

Hi. I am traveling from Ohare to JFK and then i have a 7 hour lay over until my flight leaves for Frankfurt. I was wondering if my I have to get my luggage when I get to JFK or is it just going to be transfered to my next plane? Another question, I am going to come in on a Delta flight in T3 and I also leave in T3, what are the steps that I have to go through since my next flight is an international flight.
Thanks!

No, you don't have to pick up your bags at all-you can double check that with Delta.
No extra steps for outbound international flight.

Hi-- I so appreciate your smart & helpful answers to all.

I come in T4; fly out of T3 next day.

To avoid taking the tram around the "loop", can I pick up bags from storage in T4 and WALK back to T3? Is this a long/rough walk (I have a lot of bags...).

Thanks so much!

If you take the train on track 2, it will not go around the "loop" - the very next stop on that track is T3(less than 1 min ride). If you prefer walking - yes , T3 is within walkable distance(5min). Put your bags on baggage cart.

I am landing in Terminal 4 from Kiev, after 2 days making an another flight to Seattle from Terminal 5.
I have plans store my luggage for 2 days in T4.

My questions are as follows:
2. how long is the transfer time from T4 to T5 ?
3. What's the best way to transfer from T4 to T5 ?

Thanks in advance

Take Airtrain on track 1 for one stop to T5. It takes a minute.
