There is a lounge by name Oasis , located on the forth floor at Terminal 4 . It charges for that $30-$40.

Hi, I see that there is no luggage storage at terminal 7.. which terminal should I leave my luggage at then? I arrive at terminal 7 on BA and would like to leave my luggage for the night.

Terminal 4 has a luggage storage.

Hi, I'm flying from London LHR to SAP in Honduras with American Airlines and am connecting at both JFK and Miami. I am travelling around Central America for 3 weeks before going to a conference in New York so want to leave some luggage for the conference in New York so I don't have to carry it around with me. Is it possible to go to the post office while in JFK and send a bag to a friend who lives in New York? Does my check-in luggage get put straight through to my connecting flight or do I have to claim it, go through customs and check it back in again? (i.e. would I be able to check in the luggage I want to send to New York in London or would it have to be carry-on luggage?) I have about 3.5 hours transfer in JFK. Alternatively I could leave it in storage in JFK but as I'm away for 3 weeks this will become very expensive.
Many thanks

You have to claim all your bags here , at JFK since it will be the first point of entry in US and you have to pass customs inspection.
Take a taxi from there and go to the post office where you can send the bag to your friend.
Here is the address of the nearest post office :

we are flying with BA which leaves from terminal 7 - are there any left luggage facilities there? Does anyone know if the storage at LaGuardia is still suspended, as this would be a convenient alternative.

No, not at Terminal 7.

thank you JFK_Employee - which of the other terminals would be easiest to leave luggage, to then connect to T7 - I've never been to JFK and don't know how big it is for transferring from/to terminals. We are flying domestic into LaGauardia, then taxi to JFK for our flight to UK. Is there any facility at LaGaurdia?

I am not sure about any luggage services at La Guardia.
At JFK it is convenient to leave your luggage at Terminal 4 - it is 24 hours open facility and easy accessible via Airtrain(2-3 min away from T7).
