We will be arriving from London into New York terminal 3 at 12:25, we then have a connecting flight with the same airline ( delta) at 17:40 to Las Vegas...seems a long time to hang around the terminal is there a chance of travelling into NY without collecting luggage etc? any recommendations, thank you

Hi, I would say not worth the hassle. There's the obligatory 90 minute delay landing at JFK, then you have to clear customs, grab your bags for recheck before you can even leave. Thats a busy international arrival slot so you might be in line awhile.

Add to that the fact that JFK to NYC takes an hour or more at the best of times, I'm afraid you won't make it.

Sorry.

I arrive from Germany next friday 6 pm to JFK, and im catching a plane to South America 5 am next morning so basically im sleeping at the airport, In the meantime i want to get a new laptop, does anyone knows how to get by train to a BestBuy or electronic store from the airport? Thanks in advance

Try finding Best Buy in the Jamaica area in Queens. The Airtrain and the subwat take you there.

I am travelling to JFK International on 10 January 2010 from Orlando on JetBlue Airways. I then have to catch an Air France flight to Paris. My JetBlue flight arrives 21:01 and my Air France flight departs at 23:35. The check-in deadline for the Air France flight is 22:35. Will I have enough time to collect my luggage, change terminal and check-in at for my next flight, taking arrival and departure delays into consideration?

AirTrain connects all terminals. Air France is T-1 and JetBlue is T-5. AirTrain runs about every 6 minutes and takes about 2 minutes between terminals - T5/6 is one stop, then T7 then T8 then T1 - so allow 15 minutes to transfer terminals. That gives you 45 minutes to collect your luggage and absorb any arrival delays.

Do all Northwest flights arrive and depart at terminal 4? Even if it was supposed to be a Delta one but is operated by Northwest now?

check on nwa.com for the correct gate. All flights that were originally NW depart and arrive terminal 4. Some that are codeshare with a Delta number are confusing. So check that gate on the internet. Any that begin with a B and a number are terminal 4 NW.
