Hours of Operation

AirTrain runs 24/7

  • Depending on route/time of day - trains run every 7–15 minutes,
  • depending on time of day and route.

AirTrain to "Howard Beach" station; then, Manhattan-bound "A" train to Columbus Circle station (59th Street). When you get off the train at Columbus Circle, use the exits near the *front* of the platform. That should put you near Broadway and 60th Street; the hotel will be a short walk from there.

Allow about one hour from the JetBlue gate to the Amtrak departure area at Penn Station via AirTrain and the Long Island Rail Road from Jamaica Station. You can purchase your LIRR ticket and AirTrain fare in a single transaction from the LIRR ticket-vending machines at the Jamaica Station AirTrain terminal. (You will need an "off-peak" ticket on the LIRR from Jamaica to Penn Station at that hour.)

I arrive JFK on Jet Blue from Boston @ 7:15 am & have to get bag from bag claim & check into Emirates for a 11:20 flight to Dubai. Is that enough time or should I fly down night before. Is air train easy to find? which train do I take between terminals & how long is ride?

We have never flown into JFK, and it is a little daunting to us. We will be flying JetBlue from Orlando on to Dublin, our flight gets into JFK @ 19:30, then depart for Dublin @ 21:50. Please tell us where to go after our flight into JFK (B6048) so we can connect with our flight to Dublin (EI0108). Do we take the tram? How far apart is our arrival gate from our departure gate, etc. Thank you!

I would be arriving at JFK on 26.5.11 around 8.30pm. Could someone advice on how to travel by train from JFK to Sheraton Brooklyn.

Thanking you in anticipation.

hi we are arriving into jfk thursday around noon time, could you tell me how we can get into manhatten without using a taxi?
thanks

Take the AirTrain towards Howard Beach Station. Get off there, pay $7.25 ($5 for AirTrain and $2.25 for subway) and take the Manhattan bound "A" subway train. The train runs all the way through Brooklyn but you'll be in Manhattan in about 40 minutes - Fulton St. is the first station in Manhattan.

Coming in T5; leaving T3; how to get to T3? Walking is OK, but only an hour between connections.

Arriving at JFK on Monday at 3:30 pm. want to take train to depot in long island for pick up by a friend. is there train service near residential areas?

You can get detailed information about the Long Island Rail Road (schedules, fares, and a system map) at:

From any JFK terminal, you can ride the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, which is a hub for the Long Island Rail Road. The fare for the AirTrain ride is $5.00, payable upon arrival at Jamaica Station.

I am arriving at 4:45am on Delta on an international flight on Wednesday 6/22. How long would it take to clear customs and immigration, and get out of the airport? (have one or two suitcases). Then, what are the options (costs and time) to go to the Portauthority bus terminal?
Thanks.

I have an Air France/Delta flight from Washington DC (DCA) that arrives at 5:15 in Terminal 2. I am flying to CDG on Air France from Terminal 1 at 6:15. I am concerned about making the connection. Do I have to go through security again at Terminal 1? How do I get between the terminals?

Good evening, I´ll arrieve at JFK airport in july 19th, 6am. Could you please tell me what terminal and how to get the air train to reach Penn Station.

First, you can go to the Terminal 4 to get on the air train to leave for Jamaica and walk to Jamaica. Then,it takes about 19 minuts to Penn Station by the train of Long Beach-Penn Station.
