Hey,

I was wondering in regards to a past question whether my dad could wait with me for my flight to Finland at the terminal (past security) when I come to JFK from RDU? I basically have a seven hour layover.

He will not be able to pass security without a boarding pass or gate pass, and most airlines only issue gate passes for special circumstances (such as a parent meeting a unaccompanied traveling minor, etc.). You can arrange to meet outside of security at your arrival terminal or another terminal (terminal 4 has restaurants and such pre-security) and then you will need to go through security for your Finland flight.

At terminal 4 walk upstairs to the 3rd floor for the Airtrain. Take any Airtrain on Track 1 one stop to terminal 5, about a 30 second ride.

Bring the documentation for the rifle and put it in the check-in bag. Don't forget to let the airline representative know at the moment of the check-in the bag.To be on the safe side contact the airline the day before and ask them if they have any special procedures.

Hello,

My mother is arriving with EK203 at 7:45am and she will be coming to Toronto from JFK with a flight named LAN. The flight leaving JFK at 11:05am--- is there anyway where someone can assist her from the EK Terminal to the LAN flight. The staff at the LAN flight have stated that they need a 48-hour request I did not know about this information. Can anyone help her..or could I get a help desk number, so someone can have someone assist her and take her to the LAN departure desk.

I would very much appreciate it. Thank you

I will be traveling to JFK international in December. I have in the past suffered from airsickness on a flight to Australia from the uk and since then have been very fussy about what I eat around traveling I no longer get air sickness but cannot eat the food provided on the plane in past flights I have tried not eating the whole flight and as my flight from the UK to New York is quite long I have decided it would not be safe for me to go without eating for the duration of the flight I have found out that I am allowed to take my own food from home through security in the UK but I was wondering on my flight returing home if I could take my own food throught US security the food I would be wanting to take through would be along the lines of a cheese sandwich or something that would be completly solid other that the small amount of butter however i could o without butter if needed. thank you :)
