You have a child. Great! Sound the trumpets and blare the horns! You have managed the impossible and have given birth! Those millions of other people in the world who claim to have experienced this miracle are liars... You have given birth and this makes you special...

Seriously?!?!? Are you friggin' kidding me? Just because your child does not seem to have the ingrained knowledge of how to behave, I am SURE that there are other 11 month old children out there who are not fussed after long flights and can sleep rather quietly and behave themselves does NOT mean that you should get special treatment. On the other hand, I am sure that there are fully grown adults who, after a 33 hour flight are just as fussy as your bundle of annoyance who might just riot if you cut the line for your own comfort and convenience.

How about, instead of blaming an "unfriendly and indifferent" airport staff, why don't you consider that when you travel you'll be bumping into lines everywhere you go and NOT CARRY SO MUCH STUFF?! Or at the very least, get a skycap or one of those handy-cart things... Just because you have a child that is prone to screaming (which, I might add, has probably irritated the rest of the passengers on your flight so it was really rather selfish of YOU to have foisted that off on hundreds of other people) does not mean that you'll get shuttled to the front of the line avoiding the very wait that EVERYONE ELSE has to deal with.

So, GET A CLUE. The next time you want to travel with your child, make it a short trip, don't carry so much crap with you or just don't travel at all until your child is old enough to be able to understand the phrase, "silence is golden."
