I'm traveling (U.S. citizen) from Brussels Belgium with 3 children (U.S. citizens) and wife (Belgium citizen) to Orlando Florida with point of entry of JFK. We need to go through customs and immigration to finish her immigration status of moving to the U.S. Our layover is 2hours and 45 minutes. My questions are will that be enough time to complete her immigrations status? U.S. embassy says we should have a layover of 3 - 4 hours to complete process, but 5 tickets have already been purchased and any extra change will cost significant amount of money. Also when immigration interviews her, will they also interview me the petitioner? I really would hate to have 3 kids under the age of 4 waiting such a significant amount of time at customs for the process to be completed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
