We took a Delta flight from JFK,New York, to Rome on Sundy June 15th at 17:00. The flight took off with a delay of 3 hours. We were sitting inside the plane.
We arrived to Rome 3 hours late and were about to just miss our connection flight to Tel-Aviv with AlItalia.
Before landing we consulted with the crew about how not to miss our connection, and they say that we sould see what happens when we land, and made no specail arrangement for us and a group other people who were supposed to be on that connection flight.
When we landed a Delta representative told us we should run fast and maybe we will catch that connection flight.
We run real fast, with all the laugage, and missed that flight. To make a long story short: no one infromed the AlItaila desk about the delay in our fight and asked for them to wait. No special shuttle came to pick us up and help us to get there faster. no one took reponsibilty when we arrived at the AllItalia desk.
We wondered around in the Air port for about an hour, a group of people , looking for a Delta representative.
Having one Italian video information representative hanging up on us.
Finally we had a Delta representative sent to us at the Delta departures desk. He came and said that the next flight was only in 12 hours ahead, and sent us to wait at the Launch, saying that he will come with an AlItalia representative within half an hour. So far, more than 2 hours passed, and there in no signal from him. We need to just wait here.
I have a cold, Im not feeling well, and this experience with Delta gives me the impression that the agenda of the company is: take minimal concern for your client best interests. why? because so far none of the employees we have met showed a true concern and responsibility for our flight experience.
The consequence of that for me are: I am not getting better with my cold , I dont get rest, I will miss a day of work tomorrow.
