Hi, please can someone help us out here. My daughter is traveling back to the UK from Buenos Aires on an emergency passport. Her passport, credit cards, wallet, cash, everything was stolen when she was in Peru.
She had a return flight booked with Mexicano Airlines who have just gone bust and canceled her flight, but they have just told her they have arranged an alternative one that entails a transit change at JFK. Reading up the rules it seems she can't transit thru' JFK on an emergency passport without a visa, and the US embassy in London shut 3 hours ago and won't open until Monday, which is too late as that's when her flight is. Is there a way out of this?
