We are coming to New York for the first time and wanted to know if the airtrain is a better option then a taxi or shuttle. We will have one peice of luggage and a carry on and arriving at 10am. Is the airtrain and subway system easy to navigate for first time users? What is the path I need to take to get to the Courtyard Marriott/Manhattan/Time Square South at 114 W 40th Street?
I beleive the taxis are $45 (flat fee) and the airtrain is $5 then the subway is $2. If there is two of us it is $45 or $14, but is the $31 savings worth the hassle of the airtrain to subway transfer and then having to walk to our hotel for a subway station....??
