I've read a few pages of comments and can't seem to figure out if/when one is transferring terminals whether you will also need to go through security again. I know that to get from one terminal to the other, you take the AirTrain -- but is AirTrain behind the security lines, meaning once you're on it you don't have to go through security again?
I'm flying into JFK from LAX on United (landing in Terminal 7) but will be connecting a flight to Vienna, which will depart from Terminal 1. When leaving Terminal 7 for Terminal 1 via the AirTrain, will I have to go through security again in Terminal 1?
