Hi there! I will be arriving from Amsterdam (AMS) at 8:00pm on a Friday evening, and flying out to Altanta (ATL) at 6:15am on Saturday morning.

First, will my checked baggage be transferred automatically to the new flight (I'm assuming this is the case as it's with the same airline).

Next, flying in via Delta (KLM Royal Dutch), which terminal would be the best to store my carry-on baggage?

Also, given the time I have, I plan on taking the AirTrain/Subway (or LIRR) into Manhattan to see the Empire State Building. What else would you recommend for a quick overnight sightseeing/activity excursion?

Lastly, what time should I plan on being back at the airport to retrieve my luggage from storage and make it through security?
