I am a wheelchair dependant traveller and two years ago I spent a week in New York and I travelled with my wheelchair.
My wheelchair was not allowed to be used on the plane so I was made to transfer from my wheelchair and into the planes chair before the flight.
When I arrived in New York and JFK Airport I was wheeled out to the luggage rotunda to a wait being reunited with my wheelchair and independence. My wheelchair and I were reunited but unlike in other airports where my wheelchair was brought out to me my wheelchair made an appearance by way of coming down on the luggage rotunda.
I have still not been reimbursed for the cosmetic damages to my wheelchair and the unconvinced.
Do I have to take further action on this matter?
I demand an apology and to know if the USA make it a matter of course to disregard the needs of disable people and ignore the basic rights and respects that should be afforded to all?
I am still waiting an answer
