First visit to NY...take a taxi. It will cost you over $100 but will take you direct to the hotel. You can take public transportation from JFK to Princeton but it would be a bit confusing for a first time visitor. Inquire at the Ground Transportation counter when you arrive about a shared-ride shuttle service which may be much cheaper than taxi.
