I have a client who will be traveling via JFK to St Thomas. They arrive at Terminal 8 at 2120 and travel the next day at 0700. Can they stay at the airport during the night or must they check into a hotel?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Does anyone knows whether there are any day rooms or shower facility avaliable in JFK itself? I'm on tight budget and have to settle a nite in JFK to catch my next flight.

Should 1 hour 35 minutes be enough time to switch from Delta to Jet Blue and get through customs after the Delta flight? Arrival from Mexico 9:05pm, Departure from JFK 10:40pm. Thanks for your thoughts.

Hello everybody,

I'm travelling from Belgium to JFK next Friday and I've got a "BIG" question:

I have to go from JFK Airport to the Metro Hotel on the 35th Street in New York! What's the best mean of transport to take to do that? Because I'm a little lost when I see the metro or aitrain lines...!

Thank you in advance for your answers

I'm also travelling from Belgium to JKF next week.

3 solutions:
If you have a lot a luggage, take a shuttle airport. You can ask for one at info point in JKF (ground transport information). You can ask them to call a shuttle for you. $20 for the price

Airtrain + LIRR : $15 the fastier but you have to carrier your luggage yourself...

Taxi: the more expensive and not the shorter in time... $50 + toll + tips

We chose airtrain+LIRR for next week, we have wheels on our luggage ;-)

You can take the Air Train to Jaimaca Train Station, then come down from Air Train Platform to the LIRR (LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD) tracks take a West Bound Train to New York City Penn Station. (You can pay on train for extra fee or buy ticket before boarding train).

Exit Penn Station on the 7th Avenue side, depending on where you exit you will be either right outside Madision Square Garden on 7th between 31st and 32nd Street, walk left 2 blocks cross 7th and walk 1 1/2 blocks down to Metro Hotel. Or you might exit on 34th Street walk right toward 7th Ave and follow above.
Safe Travels!

Very simple. From the terminal take the AirTrain marked Jamaica Station, cost is $5. At Jamaica Station take the Long Island Railroad to Penn Station-N.Y. which is at 33rd St. between 7th and 8th Ave. Walk two blocks north to 35th St. and then right or left depending on where on 35th St. your hotel is located.

either go to the airtrain, take it to jamaica, buy a metro card for 10 bucks (or a week pass if your staying), use the card to get out of the airtrain(5 bucks), and then again to get on the E train to manhattan (2.25), and then get off at 34th street and walk 3 blocks to 6th ave, or: take a cab for 40 bucks (set price)

Hello Elo,
if you travel alone, just take the super shuttle (blue vans) - one way costs about 19 USD per person. You can order it in advance at www.supershuttle.com

One way by taxi is flat rate 45$ - and up to 2 persons are transported for this amount.

Have a good journey and don't forget that you need a lot of time before departure.
