  - Due to other, departure traffic destined to DCA is currently experiencing delays averaging 30 minutes.
  - Due to low ceilings, departure traffic destined to PHL is currently experiencing delays averaging 38 minutes.
  - Due to thunderstorms, departure traffic destined to IAH is currently experiencing delays averaging 40 minutes.
  General Departure Delays:
Because a traffic management program is delaying some arriving flights, departing flight schedules may be affected. Check with your airline to determine if your flight is affected.
  General Arrival Delays:
Arrival traffic is experiencing airborne delays of 15 minutes or less

What does a college kid do if the flight out gets cancelled after 5 hours of on and off plane, then told there isn't another flight out until the 24th. No cell phone, no money, can't get hold of mom or dad (because of no money) and can't get back to dorms (remember, no money)???

Depend on the kindness of strangers. Start chatting with someone friendly-looking at the airport and ask to use their cell phone to call your parents. If I was at the airport and you asked me to borrow my cell phone under your circumstances, I'd lend it to you with no problem!

so what happens when your flight is cancelled? my flight to charlotte got cancelled tomorrow as well. do we show up and hope for another flight? the airline said they can't put me on another flight for 4 days!
