Is there anyone who knows how much time immigration and baggage claim normally (whatever it means?) takes? Someone commented that 2hrs should be enough to change terminal for connection flight?Is that true? Many thanks!

I am arriving to JFK and have a six hour layover until my connecting flight. Is it possible to leave the airport and return? If so, how much time should I be back before my connection? I am ticketed straight through.

I am flying to Washington DC (DCA national airport) and I have to transit at John F. Kennedy International Airport, should I do immigration process at John F. Kennedy International Airport or I can do immigration process at Washington DC (DCA national airport)?

You must go through immigration at JFK as Reagan National does not have it there. Reagan National does not have incoming international flights except for flights from Canada where there is US immigration at the major Canadian airports.

Me and two friends are leaving Salt Lake on our way to Paris and have a 12 hour layover at JFK. Since it was so long, we figured we'd go spend around 6 hours in Manhattan. With customs, etc, are we going to have to carry our luggage around the whole time we're in the city? Will they let us check it again? Is there a locker we can use? Thanks.

My sister arrived at JFK airport from Atlanta at Delta-136,due to delayed flight ,she has missed her next flight PK-722.
i m highly concerned about her since unable to get in touch with her,she is coming alone n she did not contact anybody after her first n last call to me in morning.

plz guide n help me out how come I get to know her availability over there.

I am arriving to JFK at 23:45 and by the time I get through immigration and customs it will be after 1 am. Is it possible to find a taxi at that time to go to the Queen's area?

We're flying in to JFK in a few weeks and are wondering what is the best mode of transportation to our hotel which is in Times Square. Won't have a lot of time to waste. Thought about a taxi, is there usually a long wait for taxi service? Thanks for all input

I WAS JUST IN MANHATTAN LAST NOVEMBER. TAXIS CHARGE A FLAT RATE TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT TO MANHATTAN OF I BELIEVE IT WAS AROUND $45.00 MAYBE $50.00 SOME CABS HAVE IT POSTED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAB OR ELSE ON THE INSIDE. BUT I SPECIFICALLY REMEMBER IT WAS A FLAT FEE. YOU SHOULDNT HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING A CAB AT ANYTIME. 24/7
