Hi, I have been advised that it was possible to take a mountain bike onto a plane as hand-luggage in Dec 2008. Is this true?

Hi Admin,

Quick question, I will be traveling through JFK in a couple weeks and have a 9 hr. layover. It doesn't makes sense to rent a room for this short a time but I was wondering if the airport offers sleeper rooms which would allow me to nap for a couple hours as I wait for my next flight.

thanks,
Matt

Hotels are WAY too expensive, especially for a few hours. You should be able to find a place to crash for a while. By the time you check out, eat, check back in. you will only sleep a little anyway.

I am coming into terminal 8 and connecting on an international flight departing from terminal 4. How do I get from terminal 8 to terminal 4? Can this be done without having to go through security again?

Thanks

Security
They are very rude, don't just hang up, at least listen to the concern, in this case it was a family member who had not been heard from! Sorry that it was not more serious for Airport security!

Can I put a curling iron in my carry on bag? Its ceramic so its a bit heavier, and it has a cord. I will be flying international to the UK and I'm trying to limit my luggage to one larger carry on.
